I think FiberBabble hit is on the nose.. consider who you will be getting there should be a limitation of 10" square minimum.. and 25" max... good question...

Deb

Deb, I'm thinking about this one. Is this 25" total circumference? or 25" per side?

Sorry, golo, 'fraid not. I'm not much of a swapper.Of the dog quilts you were admiring, one is still being appliqued, three are partially quilted, one is basted, and one top is just thrown over the quilt rack. None of these suckers are even remotely close to being finished, and I'm gonna use them to decorate the apt!

http://www.quilterslastresort.com/swaps-and-charity-projects-f24/mini-quilt-swap-signup-list-for-2009-t1053.htm#28347

this is the link of who is in so far.. there are 11 fantastic mini lovers that are willing to make a mini.. some have tried to hide but I have found them under rocks and behind their quilty doors hovering over their stash...so hopefully they will see the full potential they will have with this bus tour.. there are many seats still avaliable and just think it is free..

to give incentive.. there are some wonderful simple patterns that you can develope yourself.. like the nine patch.. cut your pieces 1 1/2 inches and then a plain block in between that you can quilt a little line through or something..

what about alittle applique of hearts or tulips.. I have made up a design with 60 mini hearts of fabrics in my stash and then added a boarder that says scrap lover..it looks pretty good. will post when I finishing the letter.. I am also hand piecing another mini thimble quilt I gave one away on my blog and now am making one for me....

I know there some talented ladies that need to feel they have finished something...a mini will make you feel good that you have put the binding on and it is going to someone that will love it...

there was a good point that was made to me and I have added to the beginning on the conditions.. it is a MUST that you label your mini...very very important...it is your signed work and the recipient would love to know who gave it to them..
I have said this before I have mini's with no signatures and i should have put the date and quilt show i got them from which I do now..

You will need
Your QLR name
If you would like your real name that is up to you.
the city and the year.. if you want a personal message.. that is fine... you know who you will be making the quilt for ..

now off topic.. where is that AnnieOakLeaf.. I thought for sure we would have captured her on film getting on our bus with a big hat and sunglasses to see what we have in our secret stash of ideas for a mini.. yooooooooooohoooooo Annieeeeeeeeeeeee yoooooooohoooooooo
We are here sitting in the back waiting for you .... I bet any money she will bring others with her they are all just incognito.. :peek:
