I pulled this from the other forum...
Can one of you in the Birthday swap help out Merry Bee's girl?

I found 3 quilt blocks I believe to be intended for the birthday swap. 2 of them were being discussed back in April as being MIA. They were mixed up with her birthday blocks received from you all in February.

Drum roll please for the lucky names..... brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr...!

Sewnsew - 12" white background with blue print!

Lem - 12" cream background with jewel toned print!

And, my favorite...

Charalquilts - 9" white background with blue & yellow with a Texas flavor!

I guess Dad & I just need to know what to do with them now. We have addresses for some people, but we don't know which screennames go with which real names & addresses. It also seems that sometimes the blocks were sent off to one central organizer, then sent off to the birthday recipient. It's probably to late for that. Just let us know.

Thank you!

Im here too - and I managed it that all my blocks are done and mailed out. I hope the birthday-kids will like them. Since I havent been really sewn anything since May besides the birthday-blocks and some crittersblocks I actually found some time for some sewing again - and I enjoyed it sooooooooo much.

I bet you did! all of my sewing has been for other people. Nothing for the little ones or, dare I say it, for me. Oh well, I will have to finish these few necessaries and then I can make DS's halloween costume. I sent all my b-day blocks to lem some time ago. I hope she got them. I have not heard from her. hmmmmm Undesided

I was hoping to hear from charalquilts, LEM, and sewnsew. We sent out the blocks that we found of Mom's that she had made & misplaced. There was some discussion about them on QS back in April or so. They should be receiving them yesterday or today. Anyone heard from them yet?

Merry Bee's Girl, bless your heart. I received the beautiful block today and the card. I can't even begin to describe how much they mean to me. I will cherish them always. Thank you so much for taking the time to do this when I know you had many more pressing matters to deal with. After just holding it awhile and having a good cry...it has now joined the other blocks. I will post a picture of the quilt when I get it finished. This will be my quilt and one of my most prized possessions. Thank you so very much. Hug

Sewnsew, I did the same thing. I pulled mine out and just stared at it. DS came along and asked "why are you crying? Did that block do something wrong?" Kids... You just have to love them! I explained that the wonderful lady who made it for me had just died and that is why I am sad. He then said "don't worry mom, she will be in heaven for you to meet her." Oh, I just hugged him and told him he was right and that I loved him. Hug

Hi all! Glad to hear that charal & sewnsew received their birthday blocks Mom made for you! Aren't they "purty"!?!? Charal, I just loved the bluebonnet fabric Mom chose for yours! Yee-haw! Now, we just need to find LEM...maybe she didn't make it over here... :(

PK, I was searching on Google images and came across the Kokopelli mandala. I love mandalas and kokopelli, so it was perfect. http://www.sacred-geometry.com/Print_Hopi_Kokopelli_Mandala.htm

Can't wait to see the finished products! So, get busy!

I mailed LEM the new link. When I asked her for someones addy she mailed me back and told me that she is sneaking around in the new forum. Her job makes her traveling alot - maybe she is on another business-trip. Just saw that she already signed up.

That is good news. Was wondering if we lost her.

MBG, thanks for the link. I am intrigued by the kokopelli. I have not done enough research to really understand, though. I am putting that on my "must-do" list. ;)

Well, now I am a teensy bit more informed. I knew kokopelli was a god, just not over what. Now I know he is over fertility and agriculture. I must do more research.
