That's correct, Deb - you ARE sending to Golo. hug08

I haven't gotten any farther on the Hugs & Rugs than I was before I left. Still haven't excavated the sewing machine enough yet. At least Mr. W. got his bicycle outta my sewing closet!

I think that's a Tuesday project. THIS Tuesday. I think. Embarassed

I'm glad you liked it Golo....tried to find fabrics that you might like. When I read your 'swappers likes and dislikes' I knew I would be using some bright fabrics with lime green and purple in them for you. I know the mug hug was a little tight, so I hope you have a mug that it will fit okay. Enjoy :flower:

Gimpy cat had made a wonderful pattern form me upon request and I stitched it but I don't like my stitches so I am keeping it for me.. don't worry Golo.. I had a flash and now have a pattern I know you will love that can be washed a thousand times without guilt!! I am making it on Sat and will have it in the Mail on Monday to beat the deadline..

You know I must have a deadline phobia!! I can't think of anything until almost the deadline and then I have a brainstorm!!

lmao lmao Sounds like my M.O., betweens! Anybody in my family (and many of my friends) will just smile and nod knowingly when I mention that I'm burning the midnight oil because there's a deadline TOMORROW... Remember when I was whining about being snowed/iced in at home over the Christmas holidays? We moved "Christmas" morning to New Year's Day morning - I was still up 'til 2.a.m. finishing up a gift for Mom!

So, this should give those of you who are waiting for a set from me an idea of how I'm doing... :angelic: Actually, I have the "hard part" done now, and all three sets just need finishing. I've set aside this afternoon and Sunday all day to get them (and other projects) done so I can get them in the mail on Monday, too.

FB a girl after my own heart!!! I have been early a time or 2 but the last couple of times it has been tough to come up with an idea.. I think I have to give swapping a little rest.. I didn't sign up for the xmas mini.. but did sign up for the Secret Santa swap...didn't sign up for any other swaps after this!! now it is to get some of my own stuff done!!
I am excited though about my rug and hug that I am going to make...that likes and dislikes really comes in handy!!

Yoo-hoooooo! Is everyone (except me) finished with their Mug Hugs and Mug Rugs?

Yesterday I got the binding on all of my sets - yes, I have to do binding because I am absolutely hopeless when it comes to the 'turning inside out' method - and today I'll be hand or machine sewing the bindings down. I'll want to do a quick show 'n tell tomorrow at the quilt shop before I mail them out, but - see? - I'm almost there!

Okay, so Linda2B sent a wonderful Hug/Rug set to me last week (yes, I thanked her in a timely manner - for once Embarassed ). I haven't had a chance to use it "in person" yet, because I've been dragging it around town and showing it off to my friends and co-workers.

She put a lot a lot of work into the hand stitching and embellishments (does anybody but me still say 'a lot a lot'??) and I'm just happy as a clam with how it turned out!

Isn't this just the sweetest thing?

I can't wait to start using it!

Thank you again, Linda, for such a great set. I truly do love it!

*And Golo? The Hug you sent to me fits perfectly and matches my water bottle that I take to work with me - so I take it to work every day. Yesterday it spent the day at a seminar at the Red Lion. I had the coolest looking table in the joint!

Hi all, me again.

Some of you might have noticed that I posted in the "Today' thread a couple of days ago that I had put a Mug Hug I had made in a very safe place (translation, I lost it).

Last night I went through my sewing room (oy, it's become a pit again), the dining room table, my "nest" by my comfy chair - I even folded the laundry in the basket, thinking it might have fallen in there. Shocked No dice. Mr. W. got in on the search, muttering things like "How far could it have gone?" (to the moon, Alice, to the moon) and "What happens if you can't find it?" (I make another one, then find the first one as soon as the last stitch is put into it)

Finally when I was about to give up and begin demonstrating just HOW bi-lingual I am, I happened to look UP.

It was hanging on my design wall, where I'd put it to make sure I didn't lose it.

Mamu, The Hug That Had An Adventure That Wasn't is for you. When you get it, be sure to keep a close eye on it. It's a sneaky one, apparently.

So, sure. I'm the late one with the mailing. Figures. Sorry, ladies - but they're on their way today!
