Go ahead and post pictures, Golo - we'd love to see what you're coming up with!

We can be inspired and come up with even more ideas for how to make the little darlin's...

And, it's okay - I was up til 3:34 your time but it was only 1:34 my time! I managed to get almost 7 hours of sleep last night (which is a LOT for me!).

I think I am sitting out on this one. I need to get working on some other stuff and not really sure about the pattern. Please don't try to make me change my mind.

:flower: Okey dokey, here we go! I used a random number generator & here's who ended up with whom:

Linda 2B (making 3) sends to Hummerlou, FiberBabble & Gimpy Cat

Golo (making 3) sends to Linda 2B, Laura-girl & FiberBabble

Hummerlou (making 3) sends to Linda 2B, Texasmusicmom & Golo

Mamu sends to Golo

Texasmusicmom sends to Hummerlou

FiberBabble (making 2) sends to Linda 2B & Mamu

Laura-girl sends to Hummerlou

Gimpy Cat sends to Golo

and
Betweens sends to Golo

and
FiberBabble sends to Betweens (because FB got mixed up)

Here's what happens next:
1st: Send your mailing address via email or PM to the person who is making a hug for you.
2nd: Check out the Likes & Dislikes topic if you need some guidance in chosing fabrics/design/etc.
3rd: Commence ta' creatin'...

Remember, it would be nice if you chose fabric or decorated the Mug Hug & Mug Rug with something that says, "If I were with you I'd give you a hug myself, but since I can't be there let this be a reminder every day that I think you're special."

I think we should not post pictures before we mail the packages... but if you all want to, I won't lose any sleep. What do you think?

Laura planned out her mug hug design tonight over dinner, think her recipient will like it, she wanted it to be her own design, not someone elses LOL she is very opionated LOL

Well, ding-dang-dingity. Here I thought I was all organized and everything. I seem to have skipped betweens - at least on the receiving end!
doh
Maybe that's why I didn't initially 'sign up' for 3 sets. Well, Deb - you're stuck with ME now. I'll be sending you a Hug, so PM me with your mailing address!
Hug

GC, work went well. I got to meet some new people and sales weren't too bad.

I organized some stuff (like pulling the office supplies outta the rotary cutter/ruler/etc. box), made some notes for 'the boss' (like buy a new broom b/c the current needs to go to the landfill - subtle, ain't I?) and did some of the creative stuff she hired me to do.

Fortunately, the woman who works my off-shifts had brought in a tall chair, so I wasn't on my feet unnecessarily.

But then there was bell practice. :affraid:

Oy. 2 hours on my feet at the end of the day. I was 'Poor Baby-ing" myself all evening after I got home. Oh, and I took possession of Mr. W.'s wireless netbook so I could still check mail without leaving the comfort of my own recliner. :angelic:

I finished up one this morning and am working on my second one and have the 3rd one cut out... I am having so much fun with these..... Thought I would make up one for the LQS and stick it on a mug and put it in her window with some sewing things in the cup... wouldn't that make the nicest gift for someone....

Today I'm 'taking a load off' (of my feet) in preparation for the zoo that promises to be work tomorrow.

I've been designing the quilting motifs that I think I'm using on my Hugs and Rugs. Most of you probably know that machine quilting is "my thing". I decided that I might as well go with what I love (and what I'm reasonably good at).

This means that Linda2B, Mamu & Betweens are each getting an original FBMQT4M (FiberBabble Machine Quilted This For Me lmao ) design.

So I have the embellishments, I have the designs, I have my notes about likes and dislikes. Now all I have to do is find the right fabrics!
