| How about 'doll' quilts? I don't have dolls, but I do have small-ish wall space left that could use a little art. _________________ |

| We could also add leaf patterns. There are quite a few of those too. |

| I would like to do a mini quilt along. Something like choosing 3 or 4 patterns and everyone make one of them and send pictures of our progress. |

| I like the idea of a tree swap, an Easter basket swap or a secret Easter Bunny table runner.
I may have mentioned this before: A friend of mine did a spectacular quilt using the Christmas tree pattern and some rounded trees(with smaller trunks and every sort of fabrics, including florals). When she was well into the quilting, she discovered that one tree was on its side. She drew in feet sticking out from under the tree, a stump and an axe. the quilt was named "Where's Roger?" (her very accident prone DH). Everyone but Roger loved it. |

Golo - did you ever finish the tree stitchery? I copied all those tree patterns but never did it - so cute. |

| A tree quilt is on my to do list anyway, although I designed a quilt for my guild with trees, I was not able to upload the whole thing without some resizing, but here are some of the trees. the whole thing is 10 "barn block barns", 20 conifers and 10 deciduous trees, with a chicken fabric outer border. |

| Thanks. My guild voted to have this quilt for LAST YEARS opportunity quilt, then did something less challenging, probably because I was unavailable and so was one other key player. I designed and redesigned the barn about 6 times. Originally, the quilt was just several kinds of barns. I added the trees to make parts that were less challenging. If members here are interested in doing this quilt, that would be fine with me. I simplified it here. The trees would in fact be various seasonal fabrics. |

| I've decided to make the 10 barns and see if others in the guild take over from there. |

| thank you. I got one nearly done right before I got so sick. Found it in sorting the sewing room today. (and a bunch of other UFOs)
I didn't show it, but I planned 2 narrow borders, green then barn red, followed by the "chicken salad" print, as a wide border. The idea is an end size of 100". If no one is interested when I have the barns done, I will make lap quilts for auction and/or charity. the barns will be various barnish colors. |
