I found the pattern for that one at a local sewing shop. It is called "The Abbey Bag" http://www.abbeyLaneQuilts.com/

Hummer, a customer today said that this pattern wasn't written very well. I was thinking of carrying it in the shop - did you find problems??? (I'm sure loving mine!!)

At times it was hard to understand....so I made it the way I thought it should be done. So there are some areas of the instructions that are hazy. But I am going to make me one, because I love the way yours turned out. I'm going to do mine in Texas bluebonnet fabrics.
I'm so glad you are enjoying yours.

Me either Mamu...but mail by date is Nov. 30 so we may have a long wait...thats ok...whomever has my name...take your time, I'm sure it will be marvelous (spoken in my best billy crystal voice).
I have finished and mailed mine a week ago so I'm expecting the package to arrive at its destination any day now...so everyone that has yet to get their package...keep an eye on your mailbox.
I used to visit a very active MSN Quilt BBS and they had a spread sheet that they kept track of who was in any particular swap, deadline dates to mail and when you mailed yours you could update the spreadsheet so in one good view the moderator could keep track. They also would put people on suspension if they were late and they had a barred list etc. for people that didn't complete any given swap they entered. I lost track of them when MSN dumped their forums. I was a bit intimidated to join this group, it was very large and very active and I was a new quilter.

I went to the post office today and got the cutest pincushion from Calico Chris. It is a sunflower on top of a cute box. The box has sunflowers inked on it and inside is a second pincushion in lid. Also got a thingy for my finger when handsewing and a bobbin. I love sunflowers and my kitchen is done in them. Have a box in livingroom that holds my handsewing so this pincushion is having a permanent home there. Couldn't figure how to download pics to this forum so I posted pics in the Gallery under pincushions. Thanks Chris. jessie s

I must be blind I didn't see the pin cushion gallery earlier...I added the pic now.
Glad you like it Jessie! The long needle in the case is an applique straw needle, if you are wondering...something fun to play with! Enjoy!

StillStitchinInAlva I recieved your pin cushion, the kitty head is so cute, I love it, thank you so much. Its amethyst jewelled collar is just too cute, amethyst are one of my favourite stones. Its sitting smiling at me as I type, I wll take pics of everything this evening I hope, flat stick busy today and Im getting yelled for. Im hoping to get a chance to sew this weekend, a vague hope but holding onto it. I have to make my SS. xmas mini and pin cushion. Everyone got the jump being so fast off the draw making their stuff, I keep feeling like Im overdue or late - your freaking me out here speedy sewers :affraid: Im developing a complex LOL
