photo8 Here are some pictures I took, Jenn. I'm glad you like it; it was pretty fun to design. And I'd been
itching to find a use for some of the selvages that I've been collecting!!

FB,
Great Pin cushion! What did you use to attach the flower to the cushion?
Can we copy your design? I think I would like to make one!

Absolutely, Linda... knock yourself out!

A few notes:
The thread pincushion (the little flower) center contains a little ball of steel wool wrapped in a tee-tiny bit of poly fill & stuffed into a yoyo for sharpening pins/needles. The petals are long rectangles of top & bottom and thin batting with connected 'U' shapes sewn & then turned. The flower is attached to the golf tee with both adhesive and a strong gathering thread. I think there's a circle with an 'X' cut into the center that I threaded the tip of the tee into that slid all the way up and hid the 'workings' (is that right, Jenn?). I use E-6000 adhesive.

The "holder" is the top to a pen. I got one large enough so a 'stick pen' (like a cheapie Bic) or a pencil will fit into it. The size of the triangles for the pyramid were dependent upon the size (height) of the pen 'cap'. I combined the height of the cap with the thickness of the little rice-filled muslin bag in the base to get the triangle size. The muslin 'pillow' helped the pen cap stand up while I was stuffing it.
