PostSubject: Secret Santa Swap   Wed Sep 23, 2009 9:53 pm

Thought Id put out a post and see if anyone is interested in joining (& maybe someone to host it???????) a secret santa swap. Im thinking just make something little, a token gift of friendship and care, to be made and posted by the end of november, thats just over 2mnths to make a little something for your recipient.

Is anyone interested?

Oh thank you Princess Kris, that would be wonderful if you hosted it. We might rename you Queen Kris!

We need to sort out what we are doing I guess. I have never participated in a secret santa swap and every forum does them so I figured we need to join the fun and not miss out :D
I thought we would all make something little for our recipient but Im thinking there are a couple of people here who may like to join but couldnt make something for various reasons. We dont want anyone to miss out. Is it ok with everyone if those who cant make something (like tammy with her broken wrist) send a non handmade token gift? I was wondering if MT might join us too? :santa1:

good thinking and I think that maybe you only buy a gift if you really cant make one, I think most secret santa swaps have a $10 limit dont they? Does that all sound fair?

Okay. I am in. I already have an idea.

It would be fun to mail the gift with no name etc. Maybe just an address on the envelope. Then everyone can post a picture of what they received and the gifter could then reveal it was her/him.

Oh no, I just got a 2nd idea of what to make.

hey I like your idea of posting pics of what they got then having the gifter step forward - cute! I think by putting the recipients address as both the adressee adn the sender it hides who it is from. In some instances I have sent mine to someone in teh states adn then they have posted it on to hide my aussie postmark and stamps LOL! this is fun!

gimpy cat

I'll be in it, is there a date to send gifts by, you say a $10 limit, for us here that can't include postage? Is there a theme? One yr on another forum someone said to make it a Christmas tree ornament & as you can guess living in my small town not like the big centres it took forever for things to appear in the shops! lmao
