Awww, y'all make me blush... Embarassed

There's a football game on today that Mr. W. wants to watch, so it's entirely possible that I'll get into my sewing room & get going with December's block. (And there's an audiobook that I'd like to get back to, so I'll have the best of both worlds!)

I'm pretty stoked, since I already have The Plan and the fabric for putting it all together. It won't be as beautiful as Ann's finished one, but I'm thinking that I'll be happy with it. Smitten

This is on the UFO Watchers list that I've submitted to "my" shop (remember, I'm the manager, not the owner...). The deal is that our customers submit 6 substantial steps to finish one or more UFOs (kinda like the UFO Challenge we did here where you draw a number each month?). They have to bring in their quilt and show us each time they've completed a step (or quilt). We offer 20% off fabric & supplies to complete the tasks. Everyone who's completed all 6 items by the end of September will have their name entered into a drawing for a $50 gift certificate from the shop. How cool is THAT? :bday9:

Of course, I don't get to be in the drawing, but I can try to be a good example. Thud (SO unusual for me!)

Hey strangers!!! I made it a priority to finish the project!!! It's not perfect...but by golly...it is finished!!!

All by hand...including hand quilting. All from the stash (yippee!!). Little added buttons, beads, felt, etc to most blocks (I like extras!)

the baskets were all from 'woven type' design fabric. It's a shame how much I actually had to choose from! The handles were made on the bias...and also the corner stones. The sashing is fabric from each block.

And...IT'S DONE!!! woohoo!!

some close ups....

Karol, that is soooo soooo soooo cute... you did a really nice job... thanks for those close ups.. I like all the additional buttons. YOu did really well in using up stash fabric and ended with a lovely quilt... Are you keeping it for yourself?

Wow, Karol - how clever! It took me a minute, but I see that the sashing for each block contains a fabric in the block itself. That's cool!

Congrats on getting it finished and hung! clap

Thumbup Thumbup You have no reason to apologize for keeping some things for yourself - we've seen lots that you do for others and you certainly deserve some things for YOU!!
