Thanks Deb.... I collected asian fabrics for awhile... really looking forward to this swap. I used the narrow row of fusible webbing.. I cut strips and ironed them on... It was probably a little more work, but worth it to keep the fabric soft.... just for you Deb... lol!

I am sorry I sound like I am giving the third degree but yours looks so good that I want to use the same "stuff"

When is this swap due? This is really cute and I love it, but I have some critical deadines -- one quilt due mid April and 2 quilts due beginning of June, son getting married June 5 and DD's baby due beginning of June. I'd only be able to do this one justice if the deadline were mid to end of July.

Also, are we sending 3 to EACH member? 2 girls and a boy?

Luvs the quilt will be due the end of June... and we are sending just one block at this point... If everyone sent 3 you could make several quilts... LOL

Oh thanks so much!! good to know!!

Luv would love to have you.. don't forget these are no sew so it is just cutting and ironing them on.. the recipient will do the machine applique..so that could be done in front of the t.v. on family night or something.. or even at the pc if you are waiting for show and share pictures to load up.. or.. well you get the picture.. you don't have to be at your machine to do these..

OH. you only fuse so you would have such a variety of fabrics, but your own fusable technique.

I've never done fusible. What are some of the things you can do with it besides blanket stitch and satin stitch? I'm thinking blanket stitch with black except for the face and use white on that. Then I think I'd do a black outline stitch on the face so it would show up better.

Luv... I am signing you up... do you want people to sign their blocks or not??? Those that are keeping thier quilts usually have them signed... those giving them away don't.. Let me know.

I usually do the blanket stitch.. most the time in black... I like the look... ...

You people are so pushy! lmao

No siggie. I'm thinking of putting a label on the back.

Okay. One more sucker, I mean participant, would be great. Then we'd have 12. A quilt with 3 x 4 blocks would be a nice size.

I'm already thinking of a 3 x 3 wall hanging with any extra blocks for placemats.
