ba dum dum dum.. ouuuu loli lolipop..still singing.. Golo were you tapping your toes???LOL
Alright now we are talking.. if everyone would just look at the ones golo has done already you just can't resist and all you need is a couple of FQ?? and so background.. no thread no sew just a project you can sit and do on a Sat Night with your family and just imagine dressing these little asian angels...they will be hard to part with but imagine you are getting them from all over the country...I know there are more members that love asian fabric...what a great collectors piece you can have...you use your own thread when you get your own blocks that way you can have some continuity in your blocks and sew them the way you would like....

Do you think I am getting excited about this or what??

Golo, I would like to join. DD would love this, she loves the Asian fabrics at the store.
Since I will be giving it to her, I guess no siggies. I will make a label crediting everyone and telling where the blocks are from.

Gimpy, Bob only thinks it is "sus" cause he ain't getting a pretty asian girl of his own! :mockery-017:

there are asian boys too that could be swapped that is also part of the patterns...
...I wouldn't get to jealous...wee's all hav'n fun he'ah....

I have been looking at the swaps I have been in already and have to say I have a wonderful collection of quilts.. I think we should have an album for swap quilts that would give everyone incentive.. maybe in the fall we could do a row robin.. it has been ages since we have done one of those... and we had great quilts come outta that...my mind is going 90 miles an hour I think these swaps got me going again..

I have to go and pull my fabrics now... and think asian..

Betweens... I enjoy looking at my swap quilts also... it is nice to see the signatures of each block... I was amazed at how many I have... I didn't think I had been that many.... everyone has been a joy to do.... Very Happy

I missed the voting for the mail to host or mail to individual. I am assuming we would send the hostess some money to help cover the cost.

Normally you send the hostess a reply paid envelope addressed to yourself with the same postage on it as it cost to send your parcel to her (she will be sending back the same amount of blocks so thats how you know the postage value) Does that make sense? With international out of country swappers who cant get the postage they usually organise something to swap of same value to cover it

I haven't said much about the posting yet, because one of the gals had earlier mentioned sending them out individually .... I will go with whatever you all want... it is no problem sending them all to me and me sending them back... and Gimpy is right on .. you would send a self addressed self stamped envelope for me to mail them back in... any foreign country would compensate the postage...

I went shopping today...(in a sing song voice) the quilt store that I have been going to has North Cott Fabric the Pavillion...on for 5.99 a metre.. which is excellent.. so I bought the rainbow of fabulous colors and my black for my hair... I also bought my face color and my background..
now it is time to wash the fabric and get to ironing... have all my fusable traced...I have Asian fabric dancing in my head...

I voted for individual mailing since there is only 11 of us it would cost less.. plus I can't prepost mine with stamps your post office doesn't like it...LOL

If we are only going to be a small group...should we make a couple of blocks for each person? maybe a girl AND a boy?
