Boy, do I have egg on my face. I always thought this one was due June 30th. I just noticed it was supposed to be the 15th. I am so sorry to be late. With the "30th" deadline, I was aiming for the 15th to have them arrive on time. Little did I know until tonight, that I'm aiming for the wrong date!

Luvs... if you mail them off on the 15th.. I will get them two days later... no problem... If you even need a few more days that is fine... no egg there... keep it for breakfast...

I'm done with the blocks and only need to sign. Any special place to put the signature?

Also, siggie should be name, state, country? Do we want the city?

Hi, Golo. I put it in the mail this morning. You'll likely get it Saturday. I put it in the office mail, so it probably got to the post office late in the afternoon. You are close, though so maybe tomorrow.

And what does doing it McKenna Ryan style mean?

I think McKenna Ryan does kind of heavy quilting with invisible thread. I don't think she does satin stitch or blanket stitch. That sounds like a good option. I plan to make 2 wall hangings. One for ME and one for DD/DGD. I think I'll make one with 9 blocks and the other with 4. I'll make an extra one of my block to have a total of 13 blocks. I'll put one of mine is my wallhanging and one of mine in DD's wallhanging.

sorry I thought everyone one knew Mckenna Ryan.. it is like sewing a straight line along the edge of the pattern on the applied fabric...it leaves a little rough edge "unfinished"...
The only reason I would pick this is cause I may have lots of fabric but limited on the thread colors for machine applique...

Since mine for this one are going to become wall hangings without lots of wear, I'm going to machine quilt with invisible thread and not even sew down the appliques. I'm going to quilt more heavily around the edges of the applique.

I can't wait. I think I'm going to make 2 wall hangings. One for me and one for DGD. I may make one more block with my fabric and include one of mine in each of the wall hangings.
