Got my white and black in the post yesterday, been through the wash today. Am waiting for my pigma pen to arrive in the post next week - have already got the colored fabrics - brought them about 3 days before this thread was started and had intended to use them to make Fat Cat orientals - spooky or what? Maybe this was just meant to be to restore my faith in on-line swaps. I was involved in one doing chickens on a different site that left a awful taste in my mouth. And no, it wasn't because I didn't brush my teeth that day. Very Happy

Mouse, I hope you are happy with this swap... all the gals doing it are great quilters and you should get some nice blocks... may I ask what is your black and white ??? I have 6 blocks made and 3 more cut out to do... I find it easier to do at night and very relaxing.... I have been cutting my cream on cream blocks 12 x 12 ... then no worries that they will be the right size to cut down for the reciepient.... I am going to do a lap so figuring I need 20 blocks all total .....with sashing and borders should be just right...

Golo - I brought some Kona White and Black - didn't see anything at Spotlight that was suitable and both LQS were not open when I wanted to look. They both close by 1pm on a Saturday and are only open 9-4.30 during the week (while I am at work). It was less expensive to order from an online quilt store - and quicker too.
I haven't decided what I am going to do with the blocks yet. Maybe a wall hanging but it will be something I keep for me. I am going to print out patterns and make a start in a couple of weeks - once I am finished my Kaffe Fassett scrap quilt.

Me too Mouse.. but I know this group always does their best in swaps.. I have been with them a long time and have had a couple of swaps and row robins with no disappointments as all..

I also was in the chicken one.. and well lets just say lessons are learned...

I just finished making 50 4patch posey blocks 10in for another swap I am on in the Connecting threads site.. my next will be making 30 of the 6in Repofabric civilwar blocks (I am going to use the Judy Hopkins book of 501 quilt blocks for my resource)I gotta make and then it will be these little gems.. I have the fabric and the fusible so I am ready.. but the others due dates are in March.. so I have to go by that priorty..

Can anyone tell me how to say no to a swap?? I think that I have just hit my limit...they are just so much fun and I love the blocks that I get back I could never have a big enough stash to get these diverse blocks and the fabrics are always fun!! It's amazing how there are so many fabrics to choose from!!!

BP what a tease...How bout you make one and post it.. we will be glad to let you know the outcome!!
Golo lets see your wonderful blocks!! your teasing us too.. where are they??
