Have you downloaded all of the freebies from June? Fat Cat Designs, Nancy Rink Designs, Quilt Village, Star Struck, Twiddletails, With Needle and Thread (at least) will be updating their free BOMs in a very few days!

...And have you seen Sindy's Native Flair blocks? Check HERE

Oh I love the Native American quilt, Bob and Laura are both part Choctaw and one day I hope to make her a rising star quilt in their nations colours but these are just beautiful. Thanks for the link, I think I might have found a xmas pressie for DH done in rich south western colours.

(Cross-posted at CTTQ)

Today's August 1st!

Ellie's Country Calendar has already been posted (I was up late last night, as usual!).

I finally got JULY's Quilt Village pattern (it was late and I forgot to go back and check). The Quilt Village folks seem to be a bit disorganized. This month's block is available, but the path to it isn't a clear-cut as usual (and it's not normally all that user friendly anyway). Check this post for the August block.

Step 6 - the last step? - of Star Struck is up. I haven't snuck a peek at the end result of this one. (Okay, since I said it, I had to go look. Quite cute. Country-ish. A great Christmas quilt. Curious now?)

The 3rd paper-pieced wildflower pattern in Claudia's Big Quilt of Nature is still posted, though I expect the 4th to arrive any time now and the previous ones don't stick around for free. If you want a paper foundation piecing challenge, this might be for you!

COMING IN SEPTEMBER: Nancy Rink Designs will be starting a new BOM. All of the steps for the recently finished one, Building Blocks, are still posted.

Okay, which ones have I missed? Speak up!!

(crossposted...)

It's here! The new Baltimore-type pattern, Southern Gentleman, has begun at FatCat Patterns. This is a 16-month BOM. Thud

Sindy's also begun a new sampler-type BOM called Chocolate Stars.

The other BOMs are updated, too... time to pop on over to her BOM page and commence ta' downloading!

Yep FB, I noticed the difference with Quilt Village this morning too. SOmeone other than the ususal person named it and posted it. But we got it non the less.
Veranda Views has been posted (yesterday). I think Golo and I are the only ones doing this one. I emailed her but no response..she must be having a great time at the cabin.
Note the new pattern for a bag and some xmas embrodiery little ditties that she has (page down)

Ooh! I couldn't hardly click "download" fast enough! TOO sweet! lovehearts

I'll put this info over in the Stitchery topic, too, just in case someone thinks they're being sneaky and avoiding temptation by skipping the BOM topic this month. Twisted Evil

:crossposted:

The final assembly layout is available for Geese in the Forest from Twiddletails. I'm not sure if she meant to word it that way, but it says,

Quote :
Today is the last day of Geese in the Forest quilt instructions.
This file has the block layout diagram for the quilt.

One day to have the assembly instructions posted? I hope that's a typo.

Anyway, run on over and grab the last "clue" so that all of those blocks that you've been making while keeping up with the regular monthly steps on this BOM won't just be laying around in stacks and stacks. lol! lol!

:affraid: That doesn't seem right? Maybe she meant..that it's the last of the clues..and she's giving the layout along with it? She doesn't have any thing else to post? Hopefully..it will be up and available for a while?
I don't generally do BOMs. I find it so hard to start and stop..and start again on a project. It's more my style to just want to work straight through on something until it's completed. It seems like if I save them I don't end up going back to the project either? The thrill has gone? scratch

It's so kind and helpful that you keep everyone updated on these BOMs! Thumbup lovehearts

(Crosspost!)

Applewood Farms' Block 7 plus Border Layouts are posted here.

Barbara Dieges has posted a generic posie named "Blackeyed Susan" (even she says it doesn't look like a real one! :) ). This posie might be a good fit for those who are thinking of re-working the current Bunny Hill Tisket/Tasket block.

Esther Aliu's latest Red Delicious block has been posted. Have you wandered around her blog to see what other stuff she does? She's got some pretty amazing stuff there.

Keep your mouses at the ready - Guute's A Flower in My Heart mystery clue should be posted any time now!

Regina Grewe has finished the Little Birds series, so you can take a breather there. Did you get the branch pattern that she built to go with all the little birdies? It showed up in my email box within the last week (I think). And have you seen the adorable - and unrelated - birdhouse she's got on her site right now? Yesterday I sent off some light colored 4" squares to her to trade for the pattern. (It cost a little over $2 to send the envelope to Germany, btw)

Don't forget, Nancy Rink Designs will be publishing a NEW BOM starting September 1.
