HP, that is one of my favorites. it's " Star Quilts VIII " " Hearts And Flowers" by Kathy Delaney. Kansas City Star Books ISBN # 0-9717080-3-7 and the price was $ 24.95, but check Amazon, they may have it. A very good learning book. I recommend it highly to any one who wants to learn needle-turn especially. Norma

Thank you for your comments.

HP, another one I pulled out to take with me yesterday while don had his tests is by Barbra Brackman, called " Prairie Flower A Year on the Plains " Its an interesting book about the ladies crossing the plains in horse and buggy days. They shared their material with the ladies as they met some one who made quilts and drew patterns of the flowers they came upon and used them for their patterns. Very interesting stories to go along with it too. Norma

Oh HP your mail box is going to be raided by moi I think, sounds like a yummy selection and Krafty your brackman book sounds great, I like her stuff. I looked at a book of hers while away but didnt want it, cant think of the title but its the one where she took blocks she liked from a book published years ago and then published her own book of them. Most blocks I have the patterns for. A year on the plains sounds interesteing

Gimpy, I'm sure you wold like that one, it's well worth the price. I'm thinking seriously of doing that one in the very near future, and finish the Sylvias' quilt in memory of L~T. We were all working on the Sylvias' one and she and I had discussed the other one at length. She and I loved the needle turn the most, so it will be done that way. Smitten Norma

Krafty. I have that one ! you are right...a great book . I love reading that type of thing In a similar vein are the Treasures From The Trunk etc books and The quilt That Walked to Golden . Treasures From The Trunk was one I lost in the fires but do have The Quilt that Walked to Golden. Two others I have that I love are Legacy and Remember Me . I also lost Remember Me and was devastated but was lucky enough to find a used copy in recent years to replace it. I do love that books that have some personal histories with them rather than just instruction books .
