OK, I will try to recap soon.

Wash th3e fabric before cutting, please.

I suggested 2 light and 2 dark squares per person. It has been suggested we could double that. I would say if you would like to do more, split the difference and do total of 6 squares. Have mercy on me, I don't want to be covered in squares! LOL!

I think we are at 18 now, so 4 x 18 = 72 squares. Let the people decide!

Golo posted - In the new Quilt Almanac magazine there is a pattern for cutting and sewing half squares... you can make about 6 different quilt patterns with this one square... I haven't decided which pattern to follow yet.... ????

I have thought that would make a nice swap! I have been thinking about doing a blue and cream/white version of this. Maybe we could exchange 6" squares? Like one light and dark per person? You would get more variety of squares, and no sewing involved! Would anyone be interested? The deadline would probably be sometime in the fall. What say ye? Undesided anitas

18 is a wonderful sign up... I am for sending off 4 each ( 2 creams and 2 Blues)....
It will make it a lot easier for you Anita when you get them all and start swapping them...

4 squares per person......2 blue and 2 cream. 18 people so far...got it!!! So I know we need enough for at least 18 with perhaps more if they sign up before the deadline end of July.

By george....I think I've got it! Thanks so much Anita!!!!! Whoohoo....the LQS is having a firecracker sale this weekend!

My thought process was towards having enough to make a throw. I too did the math and decided there was no way I wanted to send 4 yards worth of fabric. WAY too much to ship.

Due date is end of August. I have a bunch cut too., You keep 4 foyourself so you send me 68. 6" blocks. I am not posting my addy till signup is over. I am cutting just about every blue and cream I can and keeping one for myself. Thought it would be nice to have as wide a variety as possible. Thius is gonna be fun! Cheesy

That's a good idea. I want to make a lap or throw size with this one and cutting random extras would be great. I think I'm going to get 4 different fabrics -- 2 blues and 2 creams -- to send for the swap. That would provide a little more variety.

TM, I haven't even looked at my stash to see if I have anything. I tend to select different colors rather than blue, so I probably don't have much. Well, Shucks, I guess I'll have to buy some.
