Some of us have catching up/starting to do, I have made 4 blocks I think, have my box of fabrics sitting there waiting to get into the rest but have to finish a couple of other things ahead of them in the line first!

Oh, I love Storm At Sea. Over the last two weeks I've been working on getting caught up. Out of the 14 blocks, I've only got six done. At least that's all I can find in my mess. I've got to catch up on Quilt University (why am I doing 12 inch 9 patches?). Overall Sam, the Album quilt blocks are almost ready to send out, working on hand appliqueing a Sunflower onto background blocks.

Anyway, will add these two to the schetch book.

I am almost done with my first block...lol
I made the 1930's one first. I am not sure about the fabrics. But all of mine will be done in Christmas fabric so I will see when they are all done.

Did you do the pieced or paper pieced version Golo? Your blocks are very pretty

PostSubject: Re: 2011 Sew Along Quilt - BOM   Sun 7 Aug - 20:32

a little of both.... I cut a 4" sq of white and put the paper piece on it and folded it down so I was not actually sewing thru the paper..... the polka dot fabric was cut from a smaller 3" piece that I marked and sewed on.... I had trouble at the beginning so just played around till I came up with a pattern to use... all very confusing and don't think I would make it again... Thud
