I love the idea of 2 blocks per month and we can choose one or the other or both. That would make it fun and flexible.

We could send golo a choice of 4 blocks. 2 easy and 2 more difficult. Then she could put them in 2 hats and draw one of each per month. You could then make both or just one.

Okay.... lets go with the 12" finished block.... I have asked Annmarie to pick the first block and post it on Jan. 1st..... Enjoy making your block and when you are done with it post it here.... the first one to post their block can pick the block for the next month... If you want to pick two and have a choice that is great.... then it will really be a surprise when we post our block.... This is your BOM not mine so enjoy and it will be fun to sew along with you each month...

Anyone can join in any time.... maybe you will see a nice block that you think will make a nice table topper or wallhanging....or maybe you just want to experiment with a new sewing technique.... just check in each month and see what wonderful block has been chosen...

how about I put my name in..I think I can manage another BOM on top of the ones I am doing.. but I do like the idea of different size blocks and then piecing the quilt together as you see fit.. there are many sampler quilt patterns out there right now that are doing it If I find the links I will post them..they have so much character and since most of us will be using scraps it will even have that bit more charm...

I found one that is a BOM imagine your own colors the blocks are great
http://planetpatchwork.com/BOTM/ohmystars/default.htm

that site we used before has really added alot more blocks I would be happy to use her again Quilters Cache right...

I also have many BOM that are sitting with blocks done and not all together that is an ambition for me this year...I found it hard to find the right layout. I did a Swap with Carol Doaks group in the beginning of last year and now with her new BOM she has a block that joins all the blocks together that I am going to use for those blocks that I got back just a little color change and it will really look super.. I think if I put all my BOM UFO`s together I would be able to bed a mansion with each quilt... LOL

but like Lou said I am ready to play with my friends.. that is what hooked me into this one..

SherBear, have you looked in the Gallery yet? Or set up your own gallery? Lots of inspiration there.

I am in too. I cannot participate in swaps this year but a BOM will be fun. We get to choose one of two blocks, our own colors, and a finished size of the quilt? (I mean, sashing, borders, etc.) Sounds great! I know what colors I want! I just hope the blocks go with my choices.
