Is anyone doing " My Tweets " with Erin Russek this time. I've copied them for a couple of years now to do some day and while I was down sick, I missed block 6 & 7 so guess that's that now. I'd love to see one of hers done up, but I'm not paying for the whole quilt pattern just to get two blocks. I like when they leave them on for a longer time. Haven't been copying as many patterns as I used to, not as many pretty ones I think. Norma

I finally got it. Thanks Helen, for some reason all it would show was that one block and then she went into a class like she always does and none of the res of the blocks would come up. Smitten Norma

Beautiful blocks!!! I hope to start sewing again soon. We are heading back to Houston at the end of next week, altho we will not be moving back into Harris' cousins' home. We need to be closer to his job at Johnson Space Center, so we will live in a hotel until we can get into a rental home in that area. But, I am going to bring my sewing machine to the hotel.... I have so missed sewing!!

I cannot wait! I have to publish my choices! It will NOT wait! Here they are! Cheesy

My favorite NON STAR block: Card Trick!
http://quilterscache.com/C/CardTrickBlock.html lovehearts

And because I got to pick October and this block has an appropriate name: After The Summer
http://quilterscache.com/A/AftertheSummerBlock.html peep

Lastly, because I had an idea to do a 5 by 5 grid, I am adding this block because I like its name too. http://quilterscache.com/C/CastleInTheAirBlock.html :quilting1: This block is only to get to the 5 by 5 grid.

I almost picked this one because of its name: Spiderweb! http://quilterscache.com/S/SpiderwebBlock.html But it really does NOT go with the choices of everyone else. But its name goes so well with October and Hallowe'en! witch4 Of course, I might have to do it by itself some day!

Enjoy!

PostSubject: Re: 2011 Sew Along Quilt - BOM   Wed Sep 21, 2011 6:44 am

:thankyou: I couldn't help it. I had been looking at block choices for over a month. I knew that I wanted to choose blocks that went with everyone's choices before and that went with the idea of "October, Autumn, and Hallowe'en." Card trick is an easy block, I made a whole quilt out of it... 12 in and 18 in size. And Castles in the Air is fairly easy too, though it looks more complicated. I made a Christmas mini using it and another block. The last one, After the Summer, I have never tried but its name was too good to pass up! I hope everyone likes them. And, I did only tack on the Castles in the Air block so that I could get my 5 by 5 grid. It is not my official choice. Very Happy
