Bonnie Im just making a quilt, hadnt thought it would be xmassy, I have the cardinal fabric a few years now, loved it and saved it for something special but didnt know what, figured this was a great way to both use it and get a quilt at the same time Very Happy

I just posted my august Storm At Sea in the Gallery:

It was not a hard block to do if you pay attention to color placement. I did the paper-pieced version & the seams matched up great. My problem was I was watching TV & kept putting the wrong color in the wrong place. I think I ripped 11 seams - teeny, tiny paperpieced stitches! Learned my lesson though!

Thanks everyone - I'm not crazy about the fabric but hopefully when it's all together it will be more loveable.

Here are my two picks for the month of Nov. Open Boxes and Abstraction have fun!!!

My Open Boxes is going to look a little different than the pattern because I started with black triangles on the sides instead of white.... interesting how it changes the blocks look.....

Well almost thought I was going to have to give up on this quilt along, But
I did it! I'm caught up! Yah!
Now to work on the quilt along on the sister site!

Here they are! They may be a little different then the ones that were picked.
Some of those didn't go with what I've been working on.

Linda chose Prize Block and Bird of Paradise for December and asked me to make the blocks for her.... so a little early ... here they are

and my quilt layout of all the blocks. This will be long and comfy with fleece backing...

back in April, Gimpy picked 50-40... the pattern is identical to Bird in Paradise except for the lay out of the fabric... watch carefully...

I finished one each month but think I'm going to go back & do 4 more. Still pondering how to put them together, the colors in the block are really strange.
