I've got 2 hours. I think I'll go make a cuppa and get some work done after being lazy all day.

OK here goes. I've chosen 2 blocks from Quilter's Cache for January - one easy & one a bit more difficult:

Easier: Antique Tile: http://www.quilterscache.com/A/AntiqueTileBlock.html

Harder: Nine Burr: http://www.quilterscache.com/N/NineBurrBlock.html

I posted pics in my Gallery but they are really big. I think Helen is going to start a new folder for the 2011 BOM pics so when she does, I'll repost them in a smaller size.

HAPPY NEW YEAR everyone!

Anyone interested in doing a BOM sew along quilt like we did with the Stars a couple of years ago.... Every month one person can pick a block ..... we sew it up however we like ... we can mix up sizes of blocks... lets challenge ourselves and see how our quilt comes together.... if its a small block just add sashing and borders... We would have an ending size ... like a 10" or 12" block.... whatever we all decide on... color and fabric left up to the individual... Quilter Cache was a good site to get blocks and I am sure there are other places... remember its just one block a month for the next 12 mo... sewing2 remember this is your own quilt no mailing anything... Hope its okay with everyone.. I just went down the line .. so you all know what month you can pick a block.... Have I missed anyone???? anyone can join in anytime and do any block they want.....

pretty blocks, pity I cant find fabrics and start sewing, right now have Dh in bad mood, hyundai needs new battery, we go buy said battery which doesnt fit and slides all around. Take battery back and they dont have any others, so now we need to go down to devonport for a battery and its just grumpiness all round. this time of year is hard for me to sew, DH spends pretty much any spare moment at the computer writing and well, I cant leave laura twiddling her thumbs. Maybe if I hand piece I would have more chance, there's a thought

Hi,
I would like to give this a try. May I suggest that we choose a block that represents each month. Say March winds for example, April is baskets, and so on.

I can see myself doing this at midnight but it will still be fun!

Diannerab, glad to have you.... I will add you to the list and you can pick the Dec. blocks... you have a long time to think of what you will add.... We are picking from Quilters Cache, but if you know of another place to pick from that is fine as long as they end up to be 12 1/2" blocks. Each person picks two of her own choice... one easy and one hopefully a little challenging... the choice is yours to do.. I love your idea but maybe we can do that another time seeing how this swap is already started...

Pk this is not a swap... this is a sew along... you do the block picked each month and keep it for yourself... It is your quilt to do in any color you want... Check page one ... 1st post..........You are signed up and will pick Octobers Blocks.... If you have changed your mind let me know...
