It would be okay with me if we delayed this another week... maybe everyone would be more ready......

not that I want to but I may have to drop out too... its been hard cutting with the brace and can't imagine how much harder it is going to be with a cast... I can sew one handed but the cutting is another thing.. guess I will have to get the DH involved. I have cut a few things already so I can sew ..... maybe I will have to do some strip sewing with jelly rolls ... that might be easy... Very Happy

I think I am just out of the mood for this winter theme. Still love it and might start it in the fall. Just not tickling my fancy right now.

I finally got my fabrics, but now I've been asked to do a wedding dress and am starting on the island dresses. I'm afraid I'm gonna need to put this project on hold a little while longer too. Can we maybe wait till fall? By then maybe the rest can join back in and more will want to join!

JILL I'M TALKING TO YOU HERE! Now don't look so shocked!

Memaw I'll try my best with the WR quilt, but after you have it stretched and twisted I'm not sure I can do much with it.............

Jill, I don't think there's much hope for that WR quilt! I learned my lesson on that one.......never ever cut out a quilt until you've made at least one block! What a waste of time and money. I'll try to salvage something out of it though.

I have another tip about not cutting out the entire quilt before you make one block. Several years ago I started making a Buckeye Beauty and I forget now how many squares I needed, but I think it was at least 200. I cut them all the wrong size....I laugh about it now, but I wasn't laughing at the time! I finally used them for something else. I learned my lesson, too!
