Here's a good video on how to miter your binding ends so that they look just like the other seams in the binding. I have abook that shows this, but the video is much easier to follow:

when binding how do you make the corners look nice, I tried this the other day on some placemats that I made and the corners really got me frustrated.

SherBear its one of those rotten things, you just need to see someone do it like Golo posted and then whammo you get the knack of it. Once you have the trick to it, its simple from then on, hang in there, nothing worse than being frustrated but you will get it, good link Golo
