Yeah ummmm that would be a good idea, be organised, hmmmmmm me organised - perhaps one day! Both parties caught me out, one is a boy, one a girl - Im thinking some kids pillow covers would be a good idea for future gifts, easy to store then just have to pop an isnert into them and wrap!

Good point Breeze. Guess we better label them clearly.

Quilter's Last Resort
Secret Santa Swap
Do Not Open Until ?

Do we have a date where we all are going to open them? Or is it simply a test of endurance?

we havent set an opening date, I set an early posting date to give stuff plenty of time to arrive, last couple of years some parcels ran late and people missed out on opening day so I reckon ya'll are just gonna have to either show restraint, lie or hand the parcel over to a trusted someone to hide it until you can have it back lmao

Posting early is fine, with all you have on your plate Bonnie, Id be doing the same thing. We will open them early dec - if you are all good!!!

Ms. Memaw has flipped again! I had an email from her tonight and I do not believe she's having a very good time with her mother. She and her mother are visiting Memaw's daughter and staying for a week. I'm only about 40 miles away, perhaps I should just go kidnap Memaw until Friday. On the other hand.....yeah, I'm just going to leave her where she is. After all her mother is there to teach Memaw's daughter how to knit and crochet and I think our friend Memaw should learn, too, don't you think??????

Qbee, you would just be Thankful not to have to wait longer to open your present! lmao

Ummmm, I don't know Jill. Knitting needles in the wrong hands can become weapons. Shocked Maybe you should kidnap her. Keep everyone safe.

I'd like to kidnap her and then take off visiting quilt shops. We could do a Thelma and Louise thing for a few days....

If you really love me and valued me as a friend, YOU would come "Thelma" and kidnap "Louise!" I will not ever do this again. I think at this
point I'm about as insane as I can be. And yes, putting knitting needles in my hands would not be a good idea....... nuff said.....

Can you sneak up and gag her or something? Use quilting scrap or binding then you can plead quilting frenzy in your defense!

Why don't you just take her fabric shopping and drop about 2 dozen fat quarters in her basket when she's not looking. Or take her to the Dil's Greenhouse cornfield maze south of Columbus and let her find her way out--in a few days. That's the best I can come up with this morning. Except to remember your daughters will be talking about you just like this in only a few years...... lol!

Oh Jill, you always say the sweetest things! I hope I never put my daughters through this. Thanks though for all the wonderful ideas you've all came up with.

I know it sounds like I don't love this woman, but truly I do. I just need my alone time and it isn't happening.
