I found this cloth doll today and I thought ... how fun would it be if we all made a doll for our sewing room... someone to talk to or stick with pins when we get frustrated or thrilled with a project we have done... check this out ... anyone game to make her and post picture....

Oh no, I didn't mean that Jill. Your hair always looks great. You know that.

I was meaning the dolls hair! lol! Course there are times I'm sure when yours does look like that, especially when you know who is at home and in your way! Just sayin'.........

You could sew buttons all over her head for hair. I used to make the odd doll, used to tell DH I was making friends for myself ROFLOL, I should take pics of those fabric friends I made, nothing fancy mind you. Im afraid if I made one though that Id do bad things to her pin wise..... Twisted Evil

Not me. I've made lots of dolls, bears etc, but my sewing room is way to tightly packed for a doll. RIght now I have a doll pincushion a friend made me shortly before her death and I have no idea where to put it.

Ahhhhh, Golo somehow I knew you'd have you doll made before the rest of us mopey, slowpokes would! Where do you find the time girl? I swear you don't sleep. No way you can and sew like you do. I really admire you to be able to sew all the time and get so much finished.

I did get my DD's clothes altered today and done! Got Ella's (3) doll clothes mostly all cut out and ready to start sewing for one of her Christmas gifts. Finally found her a doll I liked. Now I'm making it a wardrobe. The price of doll cothes is unbelieveable! Glad I can sew! At least I know they won't fall apart.

What kind of doll did you find? What size is she... the 18" dolls are easy to sew for...

I found her a 14" soft doll Golo. Since she's only 3 her mommy thought that was about the right size for her little hands. I'm having a blast sewing the clothes! So many different fabrics to choose from and so many different ways to make those little dresses for the doll. Little hats, shoes and socks to match....... Oh yeah, I'm having lots of fun.
