| You are very quick Linda. It's good to see both you and finisher here. Hi finisher!
I hope the rest of the group shows up. Mine is all ready to start with the applique. My plans are to work on it this weekend.

| I was hoping to finish my this week, but its been a hectic one... so on to next week... backing and quilting shouldn't take that long.... I am really happy with this pattern.. :D _________________ So you see, imagination needs moodling - long, inefficient, happy idling, dawdling and puttering. "Brenda Ueland " Golo

| I just ordered me a new quilt frame and I'm really anxious to get it. It's made local so it shouldn't take that long. I'm going to work on my quilt this weekend so hopefully by next week sometime I can get it in the frame and start quilting it. The frame is about 4 foot long and about 25-30 inches wide. I know it's not that big, but I like doing lap/wall hangings the most anyways. AND....it will fit in my home much better than one that's bigger.

| Golo, I have received my pattern and kit from Marian. I posted on the QS site the minute I received it, but perhaps it got missed with the site down as often as it was.
I sent Marian a pm this morning telling her how I'm planning on cutting out my fabric in the next day or two. I'm really looking forward to it. I went to bed last night with the instructions, so I had a good read and I'm ready to go!
I really enjoyed this swap and would love to be involved if we do it again. Thanks! |

| I got my top pieced. I made it bigger and I added a nice big border for some fancy hand quilting. I really enjoyed this pattern and the colors are definitely in my comfort zone! [img] [/img] |

| Finisher, I love it! You always do such a great job and love the colors too.
The center of this was my block in a block swap last year. I might make one of these after seeing yours. |

| Thanks girls! The pattern Bearfoot sent was so nice. It gave the option of making a 9" or 4.5" block. I chose the smaller one so I could use more fabrics. Those Autumn colors really are my comfort zone! I'll be sending it back your way on Thursday Barb. That's when I'll be going out again. |

| Ah Finisher........... I want the quilt. Just hand it over and there won't be any need to call in the quilty police. That's it just put it in the box and add my name to the label. Nice and easy like and there won't be any bloodshed! ha  ha I absolutly love that quilt! You did a wonderful job Finisher. What size did you end up making it anyway? I have a queen size bed.... :yahoo: I really do plan to start on the applique this week.. :flower: It's all ready. I just have to find the time to do it. Right now I'm knee deep in alterations and making clothes for other people. memaw4 |

| Be careful what you wish for Memaw..it's not quilted yet. ;) I plan on doing the quilting by hand..something fancy in the wide border. The top is just 48" square..just a tad smaller than I usually make my wall quilts. With the hanger I have.. about 52" square is perfect. If I had made the 9" blocks it would have expanded out to a bed size real easily.Geesh! Now you mention it. |

| Applique' will start on Monday the 15th. I have already decided if I just don't make the time I won't get it started. So I plan to do my customer sewing during the day and do my applique' in the evening. I called today about my new quilt frame and I should be getting it in about 1-2 wks. Just in time to start hand quilting on this project. Perfect timing. Waiting for our oldest daughter and two of the grand kids to get here. Her hubby is out of town this weekend so she decided to come down and spend the weekend with her daddy and I. Other daughter is bringing the other two grandkids out tomorrow.....Saturday......to visit and eat with us. I'm gonna be in grandkid heaven. I'll check back in Sunday evening with all of you. Have a wonderful weekend. God Bless, memaw4 |
