Found this on Pintrest. Anyone ever tried it? Making a pincushion and stuffing it with fine steel wool to sharpen pins and needles. There's some discussion about not leaving pins/needles in it for long due to rusting. Here in humid Houston...that might be a problem, but evidently those who commented said it was not for them. Ive read about it before but would be concerned about it getting wet at any stage and rusting which would ruin the fabric. I know I wouldnt be the only one to have a coffee cup or glass of water knocked over when sewing. I wonder if they really sharpen the needles, seems a lot of people make them

I"m really curious....may try it, but keep it on the bookcase behind me...not where I put drinks! Good observation!

EXCELLENT IDEA! I usually just buy new pins. To bad we couldn't figure out a way to sharpen our blades now!
