I'm joining you with the cataracts, Norma. Eye dr. told me last summer I was starting to get them on both eyes and to come back in a year to see if it's time to get them removed. Fun, fun, fun.

Yay.....sounds good to me. My buttons are in Columbia Mary, so it might be a few weeks before you get them from me. Planning on returning end of next week or beginning of following. Hard to motivate myself to leave DH and boys, but need to go back. Tile for bathrooms next on the list to select.

Will be driving back by myself.....will let you all know when....not looking forward to that!

I feel bad I didn't get them out sooner. I was just trying to get all the buttons gathered so I could do that at the same time. Probably shouldn't have huh? Embarassed

PostSubject: Re: QLR Xmas Design BOM 2013   Thu Feb 21, 2013 8:17 am

So I am humming along making copies of the patterns this morning. I set up my copier to collate and stack the pages. I feed them through the auto feeder thingy on the top of the printer. Cool, how professional am I?
I start to work on the buttons, come back to check printer. Shocked What's this? It has chopped of a star point here, the side of a bell there...OMG. STOP THE PRESSES The auto feeder must of gotten them out of whack somehow. pcangst Sort through all the patterns printed so far. Okay, just re-do the bad ones (almost all of them actually cry2 ) Decide to do them one at a time...lift lid, place paper, set amount, push print.....STILL chopping edges. What the heck. scratch Try another one but get smart and only print one copy to see if it works. No dice. Undesided Undesided Undesided

Have Eureka moment beer drinker compare Helen's paper to my paper. Apparently Australian paper is 1/4" narrower and 1/2" longer than our paper. Seriously doh

So I am compensating as best I can trying to make everything work. But if you have a chopped edge here and there, you will have to...... wait for it...... DRAW it in yourself. I know, right azn lmao Don't panic, nothing major is wrong. Just trace an extra bell of the whole variety to use for the bell of the partial variety.

In spite of the best efforts of the universe to stop me, I will have these puppies in the mail this afternoon (or tomorrow morning, or afternoon. How's Monday for y'all?)

A few notes for y'all. Helen has included the sizes you need to cut your background fabric. Always a good idea to go a bit larger so you can square it up after appliqueing it which sometimes causes your background to pucker up a bit. The complete layout is on page one of this thread if you want to print a picture of it. (I suggest copying, taking to Office and making it a bit bigger. Printing directly is a bit small. I tried it.)

Don't forget to reverse your patterns. It really won't matter much on the pudding and stuff but it really matters on the letters so be careful there.

Background piece for the snowman should be 12 1/2"x 12 1/2" (it was the measurement or the hat so I chopped the measurement).

If any other corrections pop up, I'll post them.

Does anyone have Marynel's current addy they can PM. I haven't heard back from her and I would really like to be able to send hers with the others. That is my only snag at the moment.

Got it. Thanks

Oh no I totally forgot that the paper is different between here and the states, seriously, same companies make it so why is it a different size? Just how many different sizes are out there, I mean those printers adjust out a lot? Im sorry for the mess Mary Ann, its years since I had any american paper and totally forgot.

If you have a start point missing just trace it off one of the other stars, if you have part of a bell missing just fold the image in half and whallah, you will find the missing part. Often when Im drawing stuff up to keep it uniform I draw half the image on a sheet of paper thats been folded in half then I trace the half I drew onto the blank half - hmmm, does that make sense scratch Just dont fuss, its no big deal, designs are basic and a good size so it will be easy to fudge. Lets just have fun and again Mary Ann, Im sorry for the stress and mess it caused you hug08

My copy arrived on Monday ( bad girl for waiting to say so! ). It's in my "carrot" pile - I need to meet one more deadline before I open it up and get all inspired again.

Sparkly chicken, you know :-)

Thanks, GC, for sharing your talents and thanks TxM for copying and mailing!
