Hats ready to send to Pine Ridge Reservation, South Dakota. A mere drop in the bucket for the terrible needs there, but seven little heads will be warmed. (The little ribbons you can see pinned on the hats are size labels)

Those are great Mary Ann. Your pompoms are fantastic. Mine usually come out a tad wimpy. I like the bobble pattern on the right. clap Good job.

Looking forward to being able to get back to my crocheting, just need to get the Christamas must dos out of the way.

Thanks, Friends.

TxM, about those pompoms, I have a set of plastic rings, called the 5 in One PomPom Maker. It has to be at least 30 (probably more) years old. It seems a little slicker than the cardboard method, and I really load the yarn on for puffy pompoms. BUT, just this morning I was browsing at maggie'scrochet.com. There was a pompom maker that said "the easiest pompoms you'll ever make" and a tassel maker with the same pitch. Well, well. Merry Christmas, QBee! They're on the way. Very Happy

My mother had one of those and used to make the nicest, slickest most trim pompom items. Saw one in a garage sale recently and picked it up for ten cents, new in the package.

Sewing is my main thing Karin but every once in a while I get that urge to crochet. I like the tactile feel of the yarn. And since I don't hand sew, my crochet is more portable.
