PostSubject: Various quilts    Fri Nov 02, 2012 7:42 am

This is the latest quilt that I quilted for a friend. She wanted to put it in a benefit auction for a lady recently diagnosed with cancer. I liked it so much that I bought the quilt!!

I quilted it in a Baptist Fan design....easier to see on the back than the front. The fabrics are all Civil War reproduction fabrics done in lovely fall colors with a Patriotic flare..if that is possible?.. anyway, the border is Eagles with the American Flag

It seems that when I resize my pics to load here..the colors are not very clear and the pic seems to be dull.... hmmm wonder if it is the resizing program I am using?

What a lovely quilt. Good job!

I find that if I like a quilt picture, I will LOVE the quilt. They just don't photograph as good as the real thing. Would that mean that quilts are not photogenic?

Oh Mamu, the two of you created a beautiful quilt, I love all the fabric choices and the blocks, its got a beautiful symmetry to it and your quilting goes iwth the flow and enhances it perfectly without overpowering it. The end result is simply elegant and beautiful. I wonder if the resize is altering the look of the pics, I know I sharpen mine and up the brightness and then fix the contrast sometimes on mine before shrinking to compensate, sometimes a smaller image looks more muted. Anyway, the quilt is beautiful and I can understand you buying it, just lovely

PostSubject: Long Arm quilting ..... pics   Mon Dec 17, 2012 7:03 am

I just finished a friends quilt...whew whew She wanted to send this quilt to a lady that is taking care of her son while he goes to college out of state. Evidently this lady has gone above and beyond in helping her son and watching over him. My friend wanted to send this to her for Christmas. Well, I normally don't take any quilts in to do after Dec 1st since I am too busy to do anything except my own stuff. But, I relented and got this done up for her yesterday.

I quilted snowflakes on it...you can sorta see them

PostSubject: Re: Various quilts    Mon Feb 25, 2013 8:01 pm

I was able to get three Quilts of Valor finished and are ready to ship off. These quilts were peiced by different ladies and I just quilted them with Pandora. I used Red rayon thread (gives a little shine) and different all over star designs for each quilt.

Yes, that is Chewie sitting next to this quilt...she is wearing her 'Grumpy Dwarf' tshirt that matches the quilt...this was not planned Very Happy

I had a third picture of the same pattern as the above quilt, only done in different fabrics..blue's golds and some red. The picture I loaded would not load...so couldn't get it shown here.

Don't know how I missed this in December but I sure did. Those snowflakes are stunning Mamu. Well, ALL your LA quilting is. I wish, like Henny, I had a LA quilter too and could do my own as well. But then I'd just want something else! The list just goes on and on and on........ doesn't it?

It does for men.
