I was all set to start printing this one out until I realized the measurements are given in CENTIMETERS! That's too much converting for me!

I'm with ya Bratt! Its a beautiful quilt and just perfect for a sewing room, but I just can't stuff anymore into my file cabinet! I'll never live long enough to make all the ones in there now.

Are you saying yiou'll pay me to convert for you? I get paid to be a number person at work!

Actually, I've got Chick Jubilee I'm still signing up for and need to do that soon. I also picked up a chocolate themed BOM pattern last weekend. I need to go fabric shopping for that sometime, maybe I should start with casa de Bratt!

Why do you have t convert anything? I'd just use the templates & fabric pieces from my stash. Not that I have any time to make it either! LOL

So here is a Halloween applique I came across this morning. First block is up:

Ann Marie, all of the Hallowe'en ones are posted along with a few others, here:

http://peckspieces.blogspot.com/p/free-patterns.html

I did one of the cats for Quilton last fall - it was the beginning of my crayon craziness

Nice golo!

Annmarie, I think the only reason you would necessarily need to convert is if you wanted it to all fit together at the end, like in the picture. I still think it's too much work for me!

looks good golo, very british!!

Bratt doesnt your ruler or cutting matt have both imperial and metric on them? My ruler doesnt but I know 1' = 2.5cm so its an easy enough # to convert as long as its whole or not in 1/8" pieces LOL

I love the halloween cats but decided they remind me too much of my Gimpy cat right now, I dont think I could make them but I do like them

I'm trying to use scraps and FQs for the quilt. I'm still not sure what color I will use for the sashing; will wait until it's finished. This is my first BOM project, the blocks so far are not too much to my liking, but I will finish them. I really should be learning applique; patchwork has always been my favorite but I need to do some applique before I start on Gimpy's design.

Jill your blocks are looking good. Can I make a suggestion - why dont you learn to applique on my design, all the pieces are large and designed to be very easy to applique either by machine or by hand. We can all encorage you and help you along, it really is easy.

I just don't want to mess up the Christmas design. I've tried it a couple of times, one needle-turn which I didn't like and fusible which was ok. I have the blanket stitch on my machine, so most likely I'll use it. I plan to chceck out a couple of books at the library before I try it again.

Jill, I can applique by machine but not so good at the hand stuff. Just gotta find what works for you and what you are happy with.

I downloaded the first one Txm, interesting, I have never seen blocks on point and straight on in the same quilt... kind of a whimsical quilt...
