Sending off 24 of these for babies on the Pine Ridge Reservation. Some comfort and some sensory stimulation all in one little blankie.

They are so cute.

Do you always like using flannel, or would other kid friendly fabric work. I don't have lots of flannel, but have lots of others that would work for kids.

Those turned out great Qbee. A lot to keep a little one busy that's for sure. Good job.

Joann - I would think whatever fabric would be fine. Many of those I made have flannel on one side and quilting cotton on the flip side. . . for an additional "sensory experience". I thought that Minky or fleece would be nice, too, but I don't want to deal with the fuzz.

Sewn3 - I just cut more squares yesterday so flannel you sent me is in the next batch. It warmed my heart to be using fabric sent by a forum-friend.

Linda, they're only about 12" square, meant for a baby to hold onto not to keep baby warm. ( :

Very nice. I like the flannel on one side and 100 percent cotton on other. I guess all those craps from Christmas worked out for you. Are you using any of them? How was your Christmas this yr? anymore craps.?

You gave me a brainstorm... winking ..going to make one out of gamecock color flannel or fleece on one side and cotton gamecock print on the other for one of the Honors College admission ladies here at Carolina who is expecting. My DH and I have worked with her on recruitment events in Houston and I will be helping with some parent coffees for potential scholarship recipients here in Columbia next month. She just shared that she's about 4 months along so I wouldn't be surprised next time I see her. I was trying to think of something to make.....don't really want to do a full quilt since I really don't know her that well, but wanted a small token gift of some kind as she's been really good to my DS#3. So....perfect! I can even get some Gamecock themed ribbon .....they're Gamecock crazy in this town! I've made two of them before, so kinda have the idea.
