Honey, Lemon that should make you feel a little better, think I will join you.

Hoped to work on the blocks today, but I do not think I can do to much, as I am already fading and I have only posted twice...so off to get a cuppa tea and honey and back to bed. Thanks for the well wishes everyone.

Have a great day, and for Goodness sakes stay Healthy!

I don't know what to do with the Tippecanoe and Tyler Too block...I have only five favbrics and and not sure how to place them in this block Thud I love what everyone has done so far. Would it be ok to do something like Calico has done. Or would I that just be considered a copy cat and frowned on :pale:

Couple of ideas for you Shcnookie.....

Find a similar coordinating fabric from your stash and add it in.
Use one fabric twice
Come up with some other idea for how to rearrange it to suit your needs.

Rembmer Rule #1: There are no rules!

Please refer to rule #1 lol!
I only used 3 fabrics in mine. To make all the star points a different color just wouldn't fit with how I am doing my quilt so, I made the block with the colors I would use. It isn't as "funky" but then...it fits will my vision of my quilt. I will be posting pictures soon.

We only have four more blocks to go I think, and if I add in another fabric, I am not sure that it might complicate things more for me. Here I thought I had it all together, I started out with just four blacks and whites with a touch of blue in two of them, and then added in the blue...my mind is a muddle of things right now. scratch This cold has me just not sure of anything I am doing is right. I feel so unsure of myself at this point. I love the fabrics that I have chosen...I will have to think about adding in another fabric. Maybe, no, I will take a swatch of all with me to the shop hop I am taking my good friend on next week. Maybe I will see something then; I'll keep that in mind. I hope I will be feeling up to it when she’s here.

Awh yes rule #1 Thanks BearFoot!

PS, I feel like dog doo-do back to bed for me...most of the morning I was fine, but all of a sudden it has hit me again. Need more rest Saturday will be here way to soon at this point...that is when my friend arrives.

Snookie...Barb said it best.........refer to rule No. 1....make it how you want it to look.
To me the block was so busy that it needed a busy center to balance it. I welcomed the many fabrics because I changed fabrics from March on and have been trying to incorporate the early fabrics...so this block helped me do that.
I have found that usually my first thought is my best thought. And though I may change my mind i come back to the first thought in the end. Make it how you want it...its your quilt!

In my view, if someone does not want others to 'borrow" their ideas, they should not share them. I know some of my best work has come from adapting other people's projects to my needs and my insights. MY QUILT, MY WAY

Youre right marynel, we all use each other as a source of inspiration, plus magazines etc.
I'm not going to start worrying about who steals my inspiration until I'm making money as a designer. And the work is published. I'm flattered that someone would want to use my block in their quilt!

Playing "ketchup" with the BOMs. Finished the Rising Star last night and almost finished the Coronation. Did the Rising Star instead of the Rhode Island because you guys had trouble with the island. If you guys had trouble, it would take me a frustrating long time to do it so did the easier one. Should finish the Coronation today and then on to the bonus. jessie s

I think when hummerlou gets back, it's time to play Lou's clues!

A clue, a clue, we need a clue!

And then we can all try to figure out Lou's Clues and do the mail song dance.

(I'm beginning to wonder if Blues Clues is in any way related to Looney Tunes. Bob?)

In my day when "Inspector Gadget" came on tv DH & I knew we had a guaranteed 30 minutes of quiet from the children......he would give me a wink and announce.........It's gadget time!!......maybe this is what bob means!! Thumbup

I don't need clues...I wont be starting Oct. block until after Oct. 13...I have a glorious 15 days at my DD's house and I'm only taking hand work.

I think I had too much sugar for breakfast or something.

Hi, I'm Bratt and I'm a child of the 80s. Thank you, Chrism, because now I am going to have the Inspector Gadget theme song stuck in my head while the dentist gives me a filling in 45 minutes.
