Thanks, golo! I used all HSTs since it uses less fabric. It went together very easily and I thought it was a little different! anitas

Oh, that is cool reminds me of the friendship star, now don't get in a tuff, Bratt, but I think the Star Anita pairs better with what we have already.

Nice choice Anita! This block looks like it has the making of a center block to me!

Thanks, CC! I thought about doing one of my favorite blocks, like Ohio Star but I thought this one was very nice and I liked the way the block frames itself. anitas

If I had to pick a favorite star block, out of all the ones that we have done, I would have to say it was the (Wyoming Valley). I just love how it turned out. To be very truthful I loved every block we have done! Even the PPing ones...I do not like PPing very much, I just do not think it is my favorite way to sew blocks. I got so turned around and get so very frustrated over the mistakes that I would make. I guess I just need to take a class in PP maybe then I would like it.

I think that Marcia Holms site http://www.quilterscache.com is wonderful and there is so much to learn from it. I was wondering is someone here a good friend of hers?

Ok, ladies, I need help... I was working on Starshine last week and got the first part done, then proceeded to mess up part 2. I printed a new Template B and it is WAY off from my original. So, what size exactly are these templates supposed to be? I can't find anything on the site about that and I know there's something I need to change in my printer settings, but I don't know what it is.

Thanks!

Click on the templates after they pop up and they become the right size. I can show you my trick when you come home next Sat/ so why don't you work on one of the other blocks in the mean time? anitas

Got it. I have good news and bad news for you.

The good news is I got my templates to print the right size.

The bad news is I figured out why it wasn't working on my other one. You printed the first template too small, which is why it doesn't line up.

I have printed out my last block, Eddystone.
I ended up splitting my blocks pluse a few UFO blocks into two lap quilts, 9 blocks each and have been working diligently on getting one finished for DH for xmas.
If I have time enough tomorrow I will get the binding hand sewn and will be ready for wrapping.
I doubt I'll get to Eddystone till after xmas but I think I'll spend some time organizing those fabrics.

I have completed One Half of my blocks, this is a throw for DH for xmas. It's been a chilly day, it was nice to sit with this on my lap this afternoon and sew on the binding....I do enjoy doing the binding, its very relaxing.
There is an extra block in there so I could split the blocks into two even batches of 9 squares.
