Calico, I just love what you did in the center of your block! I have been working on that Rhode Island and it is a bugger, can't seem to get everything to match up. I must be PPing wrong...or something. I am going to give it one more try just because I like the look of what it should look like. Although I just might have to give up and try it after all the other blocks are choosen. I don't want to run out of my fabrics, was at LQS and didn't see any more of what I am using for the Challenge. I want to make mine with sashing and a double border and just am hoping that when I bought the fabric that I bought enough to do so!

I love how all these blocks are turning out each one has its own beauty and so very different from each others blocks... this has been so much fun and I am learning so much from it all. :flower: love this little smiley, don't you

I really like that block Golo it turned out Great! I like all the colors in it, its fun looking.

I hate, yes, I said hate the Rhode Island block, I have done it twice and both times it came out yucky!!!! Thud I can't get the seams to match even though I sewed them on the line, and I cannot get the paper to remove without it bring up my threads. Although BearFoot told me to wet my paper and maybe that will help with the paper removal. You know what I am not giving in! No I am not! I am going to get it to look half way decent if it kills me!!! Knuppel Oh how oh how did you quilters get yours to look so nice. Ok, I have got it out and now I will try once more tomorrow befor I give up on it. Hummmm - closeing my eyes and bring my fingers together and drwaing them down to my sides. Hummmm

Are you trying to use the pattern from Quilter's Cache? I think we have come to the conclusion that there must be a problem with that pattern as EVERYONE has been having trouble. If that is the one you are using, let me send you a version I have from EQ6 OR someone posted a place on the web to get the same block but at a different site...I'm don't remember where though.
It might not be your paper piecing at all!

Snookie......I made it twice too....second time my points were perfect, I used a different pattern HOWEVER it measured out at 13 full inches. I made totes out of both blocks.
In the Quilters Cache pattern there are unnecessary triangles.

I'd move on and make the alternate blcok. I apologize for choosing the Rhode Island block.

http://www.bellaonline.com/articles/art1127.asp (this is the block that came out neater but larger....might just be my user error :sigh:

Oh Calico, it was a challenge that is for sure! I finished the block just now. Then when pressing it for the third time mind you doh saw a little thread poking its head out Knuppel so I cut it doh doh well I cut a small hole in the one of the tiny triangles :hammer: I took that triangle out, without taking the whole block apart...it isn't perfect and I don't mean that it needs to be. I just wanted it not so obvious to the eye. :cyclops:
It is what it is and it's staying that way!

Now onto the next block...Lets see what is that oh yeah the Coronation another block with little bitty triangles, yippy! Not! Maybe I will just start the bonus block I love how they are all turning out...Tippie Canoe & Tyler such a cute name and a fun looking block!

I must say this is a fun QA and certainly challenging at times. :flower:

OH Goody we get a clue today, I am so excited about what the next block is going to be!

I love Tippecanoe and Tyler too it is so cut! But I be working on the Coronation block first then...TT. Although I have all most all the parts cut for this one...just thinking about the center of it, since I only have 5 fabrics I am working with. Oh fun fun fun we get a CLUE today don't we?

OK, on your mark!!!! Get Set!!!!!

Sorry, I've narrowed it down to 6 different blocks, but haven't made up my mind yet. Don't want to make it too complicated, and even tho I love PP, I know some of you don't..... so will try to make up my mind soon!

Happy quilting!
