I'm looking for 2 1/2" x 22" strips. So for me FQ's or Strips would be good.

fqs, charms, etc are better for me than strips. I have lots from a swap years ago that I still haven't used.

I did a great swap with 2 1/2 in strips just 3 quilters we did 36 different fabrics, (the most ugliest) and then we swapped them and made a quilt that turned out fabulous. Bonnie Hunter site, (I think everyone knows her has great patterns for ideas on what to swap if you have one in mind you might want to swap that size strip or block to make one of her scrappy quilts. Then if everyone made the same quilt have a great show and share...just an idea.

You know, there are a lot of patterns written specifically for charms.
And you know, there are many of us who are drowning in 'scraps'.

What about a charm swap? mailbox

I would suggest, however, that we make them 5˝ or 6" rather than 5". I suggest this because my 5" is not the same as your 5" and your 5" is not the same as her 5"...  I know, I know, they should all be the same but we know, we know that it just doesn't happen that way. So I suggest the slightly larger size that we can cut (or not) to our own personal 5" squares.

Stand back, coffee's kicking in...

Monthly. 6 squares per person - so if 10 people are playing, you'll cut 60 squares, send off 9 sets of 6, keep one for yourself. Each set must contain 6 different fabrics, but all the sets can be the same.

Maybe make each month a specific colour or 'type' (repro tigger , solid, floral, stripe, etc.). Maybe every other month a white or cream.

Opt in every month, rather than committing to a whole year (or whatever). If someone wants to send more than one set each month, they can "trade" those extra sets with someone else who wants to send more than one - f'r instance, if betweens, golo and AQM want to cut extra sets, they'd all trade with each other. This way there is not extra pressure on the 1-set swappers to cut extra.

Heh. Now it's time for my second cup. coffeecup

Tracy, makes  perfect sense to me.  I've noticed at times even when I get charm packs from stores they sometimes are not cut even.  I'm game for whatever anyone wants to exchange.   I'm ready for a drink too.  Pepsi anyone?    lol!    .
