PostSubject: Re: Spring Swap 2014   Wed Jan 22, 2014 9:18 am

You know, AQM, I probably started babbling in the wrong thread here. What I ended up proposing was a year-long swap rather than one specific one to be done in the Spring.

I'm sorry to have come tromping in with my muddy boots and drippy raincoat and mucked up the thread  doh

Now, having said that, I'd be willing to do something with regard to a swap. I had fun with the Oh Christmas Tree swap and I think it ran well.

(BTW, that's what's up on my design wall - I'm finally putting the blocks together!)

No Worries Fibber...

I've set up a Poll to see the interests for a Spring time swap.....

Looked at the Spring Swap Poll this morning....

Results are showing FQ's and Spring Theme.

Is anyone interested in running the swap?

How will the swap run?

Do we want to have a name choosen by the draw from the hat, and then we send that person FQ's?

(might save on postage for everyone)

or ??

Everyone throw out your ideas......

How many are in for the swap Alicia?  I think the draw from the hat would be best for all because of the postage.  It just went up again!  Or its going too real soon.   Isn't that crazy?

Memaw..... guess we should do an official sign up

Who's interested in the Spring Swap? Thinking a sign up deadline of Friday, January 31st.

FQ's-Spring Theme..... How many FQ's?

Thinking name drawn from the hat and you mail your special person FQ's..... thinking postage savings

and if someone else wants to run the swap... I'm ok with that....

I'll host, Alicia.

Closing signups on the 31st sounds like a good idea. I'll swap out names and send you all PMs on Saturday 1 Feb. When you sign up, you'll need to PM me with your current mailing address. Also let me know in your PM if you are NOT able to mail internationally.

I'll also propose/offer that swappers can sign up up to 2 times, so they can send/receive FQ's to and from two different people if they wish.

Do not wash your fabric first, if at all possible. Send only the FQ, don't worry about including any extras other than maybe a note (we'll have other swaps where we can spoil our recipient with chocolates and goodies).

Send a "springy" FQ - flowers, baby critters, pastel TOTs... nothing noticeably holiday-related.

Mail by 15 Feb, open and post pics in this thread when you get them!

Golo, send one FQ to one person.

If you've signed up for two, you'll send one FQ to two different people and you will receive two FQs, each from different people.

txMary - I'm sure I do have your address here somewhere, but PM me anyway, 'k?  It was written in RED, you know. geek

redwork, that goes for you, too - PM me with your address and I'll put your name in the hat.

It looks like everyone so far is in for 2 FQs. If you are not interested in sending 2, don't feel pressured.

2 springy FQ's! Oh maybe I should wait till I get my names? Nah! If they don't fit the name I'll just
keep them and go again! Cheesy

I hadn't even thought about likes/dislikes, sewn3w.  doh

But since we did the Secret Santa thing, I think that all or most of us are fairly well updated. Aren't we???
