Finished number four last night. I really like this one! The next one looks like some satin stitch in the sample but not sure I will do that. Just seems a bit out of place to me. Anyway, here is the fourth rose!

Beautiful purple rose! I would not combine satin stitch with the outline stitches either.

I combine the outline stitch with satin stitch all the time. I love having little pops of color. However, if it is a set of patterns that will go into a finished project, then all blocks have to have some satin stitches or none of them. Would be odd for one pattern in a set of 8 to have satin stitches.

All your roses look lovely so far.

I like that one Anita, the touch of red, looks like one of mine budding up to bloom again at the moment, hope it waits until after the rain tonight so the blooms arent spoiled, I have some recipes I can use them in!
