Here is the quilt we made for Redwork's family. It was quilted with a simple meander in the center and I quilted scallops in the border. I borrowed that idea from a quilt that TexasMusicMom posted recently. I am sorry the quilting does not show up more in the pictures. and although I accidently cut off the binding in the picture you can see some of the binding in the lower right corner. It was done in the same colors as the checkerboard border.

This is a close up of the label we placed on the front.

There is a hanging sleeve on the back and I have written up a card with everyone's name that participated in this swap and the ladies who helped out financially to purchase finishing supplies/postage.

I hope y'all like it. Thanks to Redmadder for putting the top together and everyone else who helped. It will be mailed Monday.

The quilt looks fantastic!

I really like the little hearts highlighting the embroidery at the bottom - like some others here, the fence bit isn't really frosting my cupcake.

I had mine all prepped and gathered up for retreat (wow, that basket row has a lot of pieces!) and came up with A Plan to replace the fence row. Since I won't be joining the girls for retreat after all, I'll hopefully be able to take advantage of the time I have this week to work on this one.

Getting a swap quilt top done in the year it was received. What a concept.

Yeah I feel a bit that way too FB, can I get the top completed this year, will I frighten myself if I do such an extraordinary thing? I made the replacement row, hmmmmmm, about those flying geese, do I really need them?

What is your fence replacement gonna be??
