.....OH THE PRESSURE!.......lol zombie But I'm truly scared this will be me after DS#3college graduation, Christmas/BirthdayDS#3, first grandbaby due, plus WeddingDS#3 in Houston with me dealing with my parents in their mid 80s and all our out of town friends/relatives from SC coming to Houston. Sounds like fun, but I have so many projects staring at me...a couch and chair to recover, one more valence for downstairs, getting all the Christmas gifts organized and purchased BEFORE Dec.....just afraid to commit.

Yeah Jill and Golo. So glad to have you.
Golo, so glad things went well with Ray. Thinking about you a lot. Take care. hug08

Aww Nancy, you know we are teasing (kinda, cause we really would love to have you join) But we understand pressure and don't want you to feel burdened by another commitment. Then it is no fun. We will have another swap and you can join then. Till then, you can cheer for us and we will cheer for you. lovehearts hug08

Nancy we totally understand, you must be feeling so overwhelmed, we will cheer you on too!

Ok well we have 16 swappers so we think its time to close the swap, fillled up fast and should be a lot of fun. Give us a couple of weeks to sort the patterns out, it will be time consuming for us working long distance together, seems one of us is always sleeping when the other is awake but we will work it out lol!

SWAP CLOSED

lol! lol! placard
You know me....I LOVE the swaps...hard to say no but I really wouldn't want to hold everyone back and I don't need something else with a deadline (either real or self imposed) staring at me. So...thanks for understanding....maybe when things calm down, I'll organize a swap!

Looking forward to pic and stories!

I apparently only need 6 hours, with a small nap in the afternoon. Which means I'm up this morning at 4:00 am, staring at my sewing room where everything has been shoved out of the way of moving. Maybe some coffee with get this rat killing started. Its just that I'm sooooo sore from moving tool boxes and cabinets. Once we get all the hanging tools, two man saws, old wooden clamps, every kinds of brace and bit ever made, a large collection of hand planes, well, you get the picture. Either there is an end to this or I quit. I'll move everything out of the sewing room into the dining room and only come out for coffee and sandwiches. Patience? I'm ready to kill something. As the one buzzard said to another. Very Happy

I appreciate the offer anyway. DH doesn't really collect anything, just once he gets something, he hangs on to it. There may be a box of 8 track tapes back there somewhere, or is it casettes? Anyway, one of these days, I'll catch the garbage truck coming down the block while he's not looking and.....gosh, honey, where's the last place you saw them? Undesided

 *****HEADS UP LADIES*****

Some of you have indicated you want a copy of the entire pattern when we are through with the swap. It is a large pattern and will require me to go to the office supply store to make copies. I just got a coupon from Office Max for 25% off, good until Nov. So I need to know who wants a copy by the 3rd of Oct. so that I can go get copies made and save everyone some money. I don't have a clue what it will cost, but with a coupon it will be cheaper. Very Happy Once I get them copied, I will let you know the cost and you can reimburse me BUT you won't get it until I send out the swapped blocks.

So if you want a copy please PM me because that will be easier to keep track of than looking through posts. I will post a list to make sure everyone is on it before I get the copies. If you decide later you want the copy, I will still make it for you but it will cost a bit more.

Thanks Very Happy

IN THE MAIL ! Finally. So sorry it took so long. I included a copy of the rules. Please follow them. Especially the colors. Very important so that the blocks will make a nice finished project.

Remember, DO NOT discuss specifics on the forum. It is a mystery, no one is supposed to know what the other blocks look like. If you have questions, please ask Helen or I through the PMs. The directions are a bit skimpy on some of them. Just use your favorite method of applique. If there are any references to freezer paper that I missed, that was the designers preferred method of applique. Just ignore if you don't do applique that way. Helen is going to email a colored pic to each person so you can wait for that if you choose. It will help with color choices. No modern, ultra bright colors, or batiks will work in this.

We hope you enjoy doing this swap. We tried to keep it interesting by mixing up the blocks a bit so no one would get bored to death doing the same thing over and over. Remember don't hesitate to ask questions, but don't name your block on line!

Those of you who are doing 16 of one applique pattern (yes, there are that many swappers remember ?)- be sure to make 8 facing left, and 8 facing right. This applies to the applique blocks only, not the pieced blocks. They only face one way.
Golo and Breezie, yours' only face one way, no need to reverse.

I can't stress enough to please ask questions before you start if you aren't sure of something. It is kinda hard talking about something you can't name. scratch
