If you come across a FREE block of the month or quilt-a-long for 2015, please post the link here. I haven't seen any new ones. There were lots in 2013 and some in 2014 but none yet for 2015 that I can find. Thanks.

Thanks for starting the thread, Ann Marie! I was just thinking the other day that I may be ready to do a BOM again.

Craftsy had several last year, so they will be one to watch.

I think it feels backwards too but its kinda fascinating how it works in the end, I havent done a lot but it was certainly 'funky'

Anything I PP usually ends up being deformed. I make deformed Yoshi's, Dudly, the deformed duck, and deformed buckeyes. Wait.....the buckeyes were edible....

I can't find a separate website for this one, so you would have to register for Craftsy, but it's free.

Tracy, nice lists of BOMs. I really like the looks of the Paper Pieced one. I am already doing one from a site I think I got on here. I like PP.

Bratt, that is a gorgeous calypso quilt, I would love to do that one but I don't know if I will start something so detailed.

I know someone who would really like this one (and another someone who would kill me if I tried to make it for that person!)

Bobbie, I'm going to collect the patterns for now. I absolutely LOVE that Calypso one, but I have wanted to do a black and bright quilt for a long time. Anita mom got me a black and bright BOM kit for Christmas from Craftsy, so I got that washed today while I was by her. I have a few pieces that will go in with my regular laundry tomorrow since they were too light to throw in there.

If anyone is going to go for a BOM on Craftsy, make sure to check in at least once a month for your pattern. Sometimes, they are only free for a month or so, sometimes not....I err on the side of cheapness!

Sindy at Fat Cat just started a new Gingerbread applique BOM. January is up. You need to register at her site now but it's easy & she is so generous with her patterns:

Here's another - looks like applique in either traditional or modern style:

Here's a beautiful star quilt - I might do this one - love the bright colors:
