You know, I usually like the P3D quilts. But I just haven't gotten the hang of finding them each month to download them. It seems like too many hoops to jump through.

FB, if you sign up to get her news letter she said she will send you a message in your e-mail the beginning of each month. that makes it much easier.

Now she has it that you just go to stores and purchase the pattern even though it is free, it makes it much easier and I find her patterns are very much worth jumping hoops for. The last one was beautiful I can't wait till I get through my PHd's so I can start on new ones...

Great find Tracy! I'm going to make the January Snow Heart for Valentine's Day gifts. I think I'll hang them on deserving friends doorknobs!

Here is a BOM/QAL with prizes from FQS each month. The theme is stars & the object is to donate the finished quilt to Quilts of Valor or a similar charity. First block will be up Jan 15.

Erin Russek has one called Be Happy - her intro is a little confusing but you can follow it here:

For those who like civil war fabrics, Barbara Brackman is doing "Stars in a Time Warp" using 6" sawtooth star blocks. She is going to give the history of civil war fabrics as you quilt along.

Jeanne Rae Crafts is doing a Scrappy Garden quilt. It is pieced & applique with the word GARDEN going across it diagonally. The first block is up:
http://www.jeanneraecrafts.com/scrappy/scrappygarden.html

Lancaster Co. is the title of a new applique BOM at Sycamore Hill Quilts. Pretty:

Michelle at The Raspberry Rabbits is doing a monthly blessing stitchery accompanied by a small reverse wool applique.
http://theraspberryrabbits.blogspot.com/2015/01/counting-our-blessings-januarys-blessing.html

Angie's Bits & Pieces has a free BOM this year - called "Let's Go", it would make a great little boys quilt - applique:
http://ajpadilla.com/bom/lets-go

J&A Stitches has an applique BOM "The Sunbonnet Children." You can either do the Sue or the Sam version.

Snapshots QAL at the FQS doesn't start until Jan 15, but it sure looks cute.

Just came across another. It is from the Central Jersey Modern Quilt Guild who is borrowing it from the Knoxville Modern Quilt Guild. It is all out there on the web so presumably any one can join in. I'm going to do this one. It is modern blocks - quite interesting and some of the blocks have unusual techniques to try:

Anita, she should print off the first pic, enlarge it and do regular applique. I saved it and may do just that one day because I don't paper piece either.

That is different! I wonder what it would look like with a white background.
