PostSubject: Crochet Hats & Fleece   Tue Feb 24, 2015 12:07 pm

Okay, so crocheting hats is not new! Recently, though, I've decided I should line the hats with lightweight fleece to make them warmer and more wind proof. 90% of my hats go to Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota, where winters are brutally cold.

I've got a great tutorial, and the sewing certainly won't be a big deal, but I'm not looking forward to working with the fleece. I got one piece so I can give this a try. Just taking it out of the bag got fuzz all over the place! I don't think I'm such a neat-nick at all, but apparently fuzzy, fleece all over isn't my thing. I thought I'd complain here and maybe get some sympathy, before moving ahead with my hat lining. Thank you in advance. winking

Could you run a damp rag over the fleece to remove the fuzz and stop more while you work with it? I have only ever had fleece do that once, hope its ok. Good Luck, your hats are awesome!!! Thumbup

I haven't worked with fleece that much. But don't remember it being that fuzzy. Hope it doesn't cause you problems.
