Have had my row done for some time now. I just didn't take a picture. I'm sorry about that. But here it is. It is simple, you probably don't need my patterns, anything similar would do. But I will gladly share my patterns if anyone wants them. Mostly applique with some embroidered details. I finished it into a wall hanging.

I havent stitched mine down yet and I will embroider the eye detail, a white patch with a black spot in the centre. These are Adélie penguins, they live in Antartica south of me. I love the magical look of blue icebergs so just had to have them. I didnt have enough fabric to cut soild pieces for the sky or ocean so I pieced fabrics to make it work and I have to say Im pretty happy with the pieced background, I think it adds to the moodiness of the Antarctic ocean.

Sadly, no matter where you go today, feral cats are hunting wildlife

lmao lmao lmao

Love the penguins. About spit out my muffin when you showed the "feral" cat. lmao

I love the pieced background. Really adds a lot of interest to the row. Will have to give that a go sometime.

Yeah you better watch out for your snowman, never know if the feral cat will hunt him next, poor guy getting caught naked and all LOL.

Ive never done a pieced background like that before and I really like it to, seems to give movement to it, sure is a good way to use up scraps too

Feral cats are a problem around here too. Tiger ONLY eats his dry cat food, tuna and my fruits. (he loves bananas.)

Oh thats so cute, it would go well nestled next to TxMarys snowman hanging his clothes, like the birds are overseeing and singing while he works. Love the musical notes, too cute, I think I have some white snowflake fabric would make an awesome background or maybe I could try pieceing my background again, Im curious to experiment some more with that

You mean Marynel's row? That would be cute. Not sure how to pin buttons though?

Sounds good to me. When I made a Christmas tree quilt, several years back, I used the bent type of safety pins on the back to attach orphan earrings as ornaments. That worked very well, IMHO. I hope my former DDil still has it.
