Annmarie, I absolutely love paperpiecing! "Usually" everything comes out perfect! I say ususally because there have been a few times at first that the pieces I chose were too short and I had to take out and redo. But I soon learned to just cut a tad bigger and hold up to the light. Yours by the way are beautiful. I have some patterns I'd be glad to share if you like.

I love those colors. I would love an entire quilt with neutrals using pp blocks from Carol Doak. That would really be unique. I would just love that to pieces....paper pieces.

There is a new challenge starting from Carol Doak. It is an easy 6 inch block & a great prize to the lucky winner. Here's the info:

Loving this time of the year and think it is time to have a quick little challenge. The prize: 10 Yards of spring-colored fabric!!!! The rules:
Go to www.caroldoak.com and download from the Free Patterns section the new Flowers and Hearts block.
Make one block in spring colors
Go to the Carol Doak Quilting Group on Yahoo... http://groups.yahoo.com/group/CarolDoakQuiltingGroup/

If you are a member already, post a picture of your block in the Spring and Flowers and Hearts Challenge Album. You can post as many times as you like.

If you are not a member, join the the Group by clicking the "Join" button and follow the steps to join and post the picture of your block.

I will pull one winner on May 15 to win the 10 yards of fabric!!!

Option: If you would like to send me your block(s), I will collect all the blocks and pull one winner on May 15 after I pull the winner of the fabric to win all the blocks sent to me. Please include your name and full mailing address with your block.

Have to start somewhere on this thread > If I made comment on all the great work it would be pages of OOH'S and AH'S . So will start with Buzzysma . Lovely ! I agree with luvsquilting I too love the neutral colours , so soft. But then I also like the darks , the brights , the countries , the etc etc . I LOVE fabric LOL . I have a Carol Doak book that I wanted to make one day . Did a little paper piecing years ago and have never had time to get to try it again . Good intention sand everything .

Henny Penny, you better dust off your book... I've done some of her blocks... they do make up some pretty patterns...
