Here is my January Scenic Drive block. I'm not real happy with it. Tough one to actualize. Starting from the top there is a patch of blue ski, then 2 snow capped mountains, a river with river banks on each side, then a snow field (where I have snowshoed all over!) I think the mountains should have been darker. Anyone else try this one?

I love your block, I have taken your tip though and will make the mountains darker. These blocks look easy but it takes me longer to pick fabric than it does to make it!

I am two blocks behind but will try and catch up at the weekend (famous last words lol)

Thank you Chris and Golo............I really love doing these blocks as they are so quick, it takes me more time to choose the fabrics than to make them lol!

I like both of your blocks Polly! They look so different depending on which fabrics you girls use. It's going to be fun to see how they look once they are all together. lovehearts

Love your mountains, Polly. I see February is another house. Lots of houses so far. Gonna have to find some Valentine fabric to make it different. Undesided

iambuzzysma.....I was hoping that there would be some more non-housey ones, I guess we will just have to see what she has planned

And thank you for the tip to make the mountains darker :)

Thanks girls :D I am really liking this BOM I was getting fed up with the other Avatar. As this BOM is a block representing each month I thought I would change it with each new month. Will make me keep up!! See how long I last, you might be seeing a March Avatar in September :hammer: Nothing like putting pressure on myself lol!
