I have asked and recieved permission for us to use any of the Bullseye patterns at
http://www.fatcatpatterns.com ... so check them out and lets decide what pattern and who wants to get in on this in 2009........ I will be happy to host it and we won't start until sometime in Jan. after all the holidays are over and decorations are put away and we will be ready to sit back and sew.... Thumbup

who wants to
get
it
on
in 2009....

Ooo both sound good to me, I sure like the all squared up quilt very nicely done don't you think. I think that would be a fun quilt made of soft flannel. How would we be doing this? Would it be like the nine patch swap we just finished?

First we are going to have to do a Poll to see which quilt everyone would like to do... I'll get Gimpy that right away.... It will either be All Squared UP or Tattered Garden...
It would be nice to get at least 15 gals to sign up... more is always nice... Each person would do up the required number of squares and send them to the host and then exchanged and returned... Yes, just like the nine patch or xmas swap......... but lets not worry about this till January.....

I might be interested in this too. Did we start a thread about this? Are you still interested in this, Polly? Would you host it?

I think I am going to hold off on the Seasonal Blocks here. There is a similar one on CTTQ and I think this would overlap with Golo's seasonal towels right now. I want to do the towels too and have already ordered mine. I like the journal idea though!
Anyone got any other suggestions for a Quilt Along?

I have been trying to think of something that was different than the last Quilt Along and that didn't overlap with the tea towels and things on CTTQ and I came up with an idea. The BOM from Angie Padilla that Calico Chris did and Golo did (they both finished theirs). I emailed Angie and asked if we could do those on our forum as a BOM for next year (I wanted permission to make the blocks available to those that had NOT downloaded them last year). Her answer was both expected AND unexpected. Since she offers the blocks for sale from previous year's BOM's she didn't think it would be fair to her customers to let us continue to get them for free (I kind of expected this, but thought it didn't hurt to ask). The unexpected part was that she offered 2 suggestions
1. To do the BOM from her site which is "Country Cups" this year
OR
2. She has offered to do an exclusive Christmas BOM for this forum.

Would anyone be interested in either of those? I would like to get back to her soon, so if you could take a minute and let me know ASAP, I would appreciate it!

Having just finished a Christmas bom I'm not real interested in doing another one. I looked at ajpadilla site and cant find the Country Cups BOM...could you post a link so we can take a peek?

I have my own personal BOM that I'm starting for myself , would anyone be interested in this one? This is free and open, someone questioned copywrite issues as it looks like you can buy the pattern, I did write the designer and she said feel free.

Barb, that was nice of you to inquire... quite nice she would do somthing exclusive for us... the Country Cups sound pretty unique too...

CC love what you're doing...that will definetely be a lovely quilt when done..

I am not sure if I want to get into a BOM with the t-towels monthly and the Tatter Flower GArden swap... and Bingo and my own projects... I think I will sit on the fence on this one and see what everyone else wants to do...
