Sewn I think it might be due either before xmas or by the end of Dec, its a small project so achievable in a couple of hours. If we can get it done asap it gives the opportunity to perhaps make xmas or NY themed ones or include recipes for those holiday events.

Norma, you might want to post in the Friendship Swap thread. I think more folks will be apt to see it.

Come on ladies, this is a fun one. Small, doesn't take much time, doesn't have to match anything.....I started mine this morning. In less than an hour it was at quilting stage. I'll do that tonight and hopefully bind it too.

Yes, we know the holidays are coming, but if we wait for the "perfect" time to do something fun for ourselves, it will never happen. We just have to make it happen. So join us...pleeeeease.

So, should I wait until my partner has been assigned to me, or just go ahead and make a potholder right away?

I made the potholder this morning. Since they can be tucked away in a drawer if my partner doesn't like it, o wa ta hey. I'll love what ever someone makes me. Thumbup

I figured it's a potholder, I felt like working on it, had a few moments, and went for it. It is generic enough that I think it will work for anyone.

Red, I have potholders from you, and they ain't in a drawer! They are being used. chef2

Louanne, Golo and Sheryn, names added!

FB I think the same as TxMary, we can make them at any time. Im thinking I will make a seasonal one or two, there is halloween, xmas, thanksgiving, patriotic, seasons - oh so many, what will I choose??

TxMary had a great tutorial where they used old towels for the centre, she might post the link again!

Don't know if this the same one I posted before but it is a good one too. The only thing I suggest is to use two layers or unless your towel is really thick. Take your old towel, use it as a potholder, see how well it works to decide if you need one layer or two. You can also use scraps of cotton batting and/or insulbrite.

Mine's done, ready to mail whenever we get our names. I wanted to be ahead so if things get mucked up by holiday stuff, I am good to go. Thumbup
