Here are all my rows. My quilt is limited to 5 rows to fit the future designated space. So I combine a lot of y'alls ideas and try to stay as true to your themes as possible. I combined Memaw's flowers and birdhouse but had to make it smaller to fit. Since my computer and printer were acting up I just hand drew everything so they do look different but I will always be reminded of Memaw. Likewise I combined Helen's two beach scenes into one.
All I need to do now is stitch them down. I hope y'all like them.

Does anyone need my pattern. QMN has it so I'm pretty sure I sent it once. But if you can't find it I will be happy to mail it again. Let me know.

PostSubject: Re: Summer Row by Row swap   Thu Feb 16, 2017 3:06 pm

I finished appliqueing my summer rows and got them sewed together. Still haven't decided if I am doing borders or not. So it will stay a flimsy for a while until I have more of them done. I am starting work on the Christmas one. Have to print all the patterns. Way back when we started, I guess I was busy and did not do the Winter row. Then for reasons long since lost to the dusty archives of my brain, I turned my row into a wall hanging. So I am behind a whole RxR. Since I can only use 5 rows to have the quilts fit where I want them, I think I can get away without re-making my row. I seem to remember there were more winter rows. So I have to get those patterns out too.

I have some cute buttons to add to several of them after quilting but have stuck with painting on the details versus embroidering. Cheating? Or a different way to be creative? I'll go with the latter since I used to paint a lot years ago, it is an expression of a craft I still love.

Has anyone started quilting these yet? I am at a complete loss as to how to quilt them? Anyone have any ideas?

Having some trouble uploading pic to gallery but really not much changed from picture above since you can't really see the appliqueing. I think a couple of rows got switched around is all.

Thats not cheating, its called multi media sewing, I love it when people bring in different materials and mediums. Laura and I were looking at my rows last night, I need to start sewing them down, some are done. No idea how to quilt them sorry, I would personally think a simple all over, perhaps windy swirls for fall, snowflakes for winter, flowers for spring, simple wavy pattern for summer, pumpkins/vines maybe for halloween, holly leaves for xmas. Just what pops into my head

Looking at your rows together, what about a meandering bee pattern for your summer one?

O yeah, I did change something. I didn't like that yellow bird. I yanked him off and did a smaller blue bird. (got my pics to upload)
