This is a neat video on quick ways to do certain pieced blocks. I really like the first one....square in square. Some of the others I'm not so sure I'd do....but I like several ones.....take a look!

I looked at the video and had seen it before. I actually made the one with the "triangle" corners. It was quick and fun. I haven't gotten it quilted yet so I don't know if those pockets will create problems on the longarm. I plan to more or less just quilt them closed. If need be, I will use spray or glue sticks to hold them shut. I would like to do the square in a square too. Just use scraps.

Thanks Nancy I got to watch it today, I love the square in a square, makes so much sense and a couple of the others but hte triangles I couldnt do, not waste all that fabric! I could cut them in half then do it her way with folding but I couldnt just fold a 5" square and waste it all, sure was interesting, thanks for sharing

Yes I agree...I couldn't do that either. But I really like the square in a square method.
